𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓭 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓻 for @jawbrkrs!
𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙉𝘼 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙐𝙇𝘿 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒𝙉 better than to show up tonight. her friends had warned her that it was a bad idea, especially since her father had made it very clear she wasn’t supposed to be anywhere near the clubhouse after dark. it didn’t matter that she was a twenty-six year old woman who had seen way more than most people her age because of where she grew up, or that she was capable of making her own decisions, a no from him was still a no. normally she wouldn’t push it because she knew better. yet curiosity, and him, had pulled her there anyway. beau. the two of them had gotten closer lately since she came back from university a few months ago and for the first time in years the timing finally felt right. it’s why she wanted to go to the party tonight and the thought of seeing him had made her feel restless all day. there were apparently multiple charters visiting, something about a deal that they had waited a long time for going through, as per the whisperings of some of the club girl’s who were oblivious to her eavesdropping. the get-together was supposed to be wild and lena wanted to see it for herself. all it took was a little flirting earlier that day to talk one of the new prospects into texting her when her dad left, which turned out to be just after midnight, and the second her phone dinged she grabbed her keys and made her way over. with her head held high and wearing the hottest little black dress that hugged her every curve, lena pushed through the clubhouse doors. the first thing that hits her is the smell of lingering cigarette smoke in the air, sharp enough to make her wrinkle her nose in disgust. the next was that the entire place was low lit and completely packed, the music too loud but still able to hear the drunken shouts over it. there was a number of almost naked girls dancing on top of tables and poles she had never seen there before, and it was obvious the club made sure the place was a bit more family friendly during daylight hours.. to an extent anyway. most likely to keep their old ladies happy, she thinks. the people around her didn’t look familiar and she figures they’re from out of town and it’s probably for the best - the last thing she needs is her ‘uncles’ ratting her out to her dad tomorrow for coming here. as she pushes through the crowd, she can feel the heated stares on her back from men who had no idea whose daughter she was but she doesn’t give them a glance, her attention is solely focused on finding beau. it’s only when she turns the corner does she finally spot him and she smiles immediately, feeling her heart race as she takes in how good he looks. a pang of want swirling in her stomach. he hasn’t noticed her yet, and she couldn’t wait for his reaction to her arrival and the way she was all dressed up for him. not wanting to waste any more time, she starts moving toward him only to freeze mid-step. there’s a girl on beau’s lap, a girl she’s never seen before hanging off of him shamelessly. her arms are looped around his neck, her mouth close to his ear as she giggles at something he says and lena’s smile drops so fast it almost feels physical. like someone knocked the air right out of her lungs. of course. of course this would happen.
she shouldn’t have come. she knew better. everyone told her not to and yet she still showed up in this stupid tiny dress thinking the night would play out like something she’d secretly replayed in her head way too many times to count. instead she’s standing here like an idiot while some random girl is practically making herself at home on beau’s lap, and if the universe didn’t hate her enough, that’s the exact moment his gaze lifts and lands directly on her. that’s all it takes. her body moves before her brain can catch up, quickly turning around as she refuses to stand there and find out what expression sits on his face now that he’s seen her. lena doesn’t want to know if he looks guilty or surprised or, worse, unfazed. she needed to go. the music feels twice as loud as she shoves blindly through the crowd, embarrassment clawing at her throat. someone tries to grab her waist to steady her when she bumps into them, hands moving down to paw at her ass and she jerks away without even looking. her only goal right now is distance. space between her and that room, and him and that girl, and she doesn’t slow down until she’s finally outside. god, she felt so fucking stupid.
closed starter: heath + beau / @beaurosales
"i could take that shit out myself" heath admitted as they drifted toward the helm. he set the champagne aside, letting his palm settle against the console "i've got a license 'n all" he added, almost as an afterthought
"hell, maybe i oughta grab the wheel right now and stir the pot" he went on, amused by the idea "shake things up a lil" heath reached for his flute again, taking a sip before glancing back at her "we've had louder, wilder new year's than this"
Since seeing Beau for the first time in what might have possible been a century (she lost track of the years as they went by), Isadora found herself constantly thinking of him. After everything they had discussed that day, there were certain things she couldn’t shake. How could he have a son? More importantly, why was she a touch jealous over that fact? Why was his life seemingly so wonderful when hers was empty and cold? Especially after all the hurt he had put her through. As much as she knew she should probably keep her distance, she had to see him.
It was late evening when she ventured out of her home, and a heavy storm was brewing in the clouds above. It had taken her awhile using clues she had picked up in their conversation (and the help of some gossipy students), but she had found his place. Nervously, she knocked on the door, unsure of what he would say when he answered.
“Please, Beau,” she pleaded the moment he opened the door, nervous about the response she might receive. “I miss you. Please don’t shut me out.”

Beau was not Dominic’s favorite person in the world. Not only because he was the Seelie VP, Dominic could care less about the whole Seelie versus Unseelie thing some people seemed to care about, but perhaps it was a small part of it. The main thing was that Beau got on every nerve Dominic possessed, and Dominic wasn’t sure the other man even knew it, which was probably for the best. Even his name was annoying. The whole southern gentleman bullshit, Christ. He was sure that Beau wasn’t a fan of him either, but Dominic didn’t really give a damn about Beau’s feelings. Unfortunately the adult world meant one had to interact with such people, though, no matter how much Dominic despised it. All he could do was hope this meeting wouldn’t be as terrible as others.
Bracing himself, Dominic knocked on the door to Beau’s office, coming in after getting permission. As much as Dominic dreaded this meeting, he could admit it was fun to watch Beau get so easily flustered. He would bet big bucks Beau was into some freaky shit. It was always the quiet ones. “McCallum! My favorite Seelie Vice President! I don’t know if the Council is hounding your ass as much as mine, but if they are, you can guess why I’m here. Though you probably guessed that anyway,” he said, a bright fake smile coming across his face before he dropped it. No way was the Council looking at the Seelie Council for information about Hacker. The Council didn’t really do the whole ‘equality’ thing, though Dominic couldn’t really blame them sometimes. Species were species, and there were certain connotations there whether one liked it or not. “What do you know about Hacker and the murder?”
