for  how  great  of  a  day  it  is  outside,  it  feels  almost  criminal  to  stay  confined  to  the  indoors.  the  sun  offers  a  comfortable  warmth  on  his  skin,  making  charlie  all  the  more  glad  that  he  decided  to  bite  the  bullet  on  cutting  the  metaphorical  ribbon  on  the  short-sleeve  section  of  his  closet  for  the  summer  season.  he  had  some  free  time  to  put  aside  for  a  light  run  —  alternating  between  bursts  of  jogging  then  into  periods  of  walking  and  the  pathways  in  the  park  worked  great  for  this.  charlie’s  found  going  late  morning  before  noon  was  the  golden  time  to  go  before  sweltering  in  the  sun’s  rays.  growing  up  charlie  was  already  picked  on  by  his  sister  for  being  the  palest  among  the  three  hawthorne  siblings,  oftentimes  burning  more  than  tanning  whenever  they  spent  time  by  the  pool  or  went  on  vacation.  his  head  of  blonde  curls  exacerbated  such  comments,  though  he’d  much  rather  his  sister’s  remarks  of  resembling  an  overgrown  cherub  than  the  lobster  comments  thrown  his  way  by  his  brother.  the  ache  in  his  knee  is  beginning  to  make  its  presence  known,  a  nagging  sense  of  discomfort  progressive  in  its  bloom  and  charlie  finds  himself  seeking  out  the  nearest  bench  in  a  moment  of  tunnel  vision.  biting  down  on  his  tongue  and  ignoring  the  metallic  tang  overwhelming  his  taste  buds,  he  sits  and  nearly  misses  the  fact  that  dylan  is  on  the  other  end.  “oh  my  god  —  i’m  an  ass.  i  didn't  even  see  you  there,”  charlie  offers  with  an  awkward  chuckle  as  he  brings  a  hand  up  to  run  a  hand  through  his  disheveled  curls.  “i  may  have  been  a  bit  too  tunnel  focused  on  sitting  down  and  resting,  so  sorry  about  that.”  he  grins  over  at  dylan  and  brings  a  hand  up  to  cover  his  eyes  from  the  overhead  sun.  “what  brings  you  out  here ??  i  was  actually  planning  on  texting  you  later  so  we  can  set  up  a  time  to  go  over  plans  and  your  vision board.”
