what's the best and worst thing about being a coleman?
"The best is my family itself. Minus the mother and Deborah, of course." She wrinkled her nose. "My grandpa is super smart and kind and always has funny jokes, even if he's a little set in his ways. My grandma has the biggest heart and just explodes love wherever she goes, plus she makes the best food. Dad can be tough and seem like he doesn't feel anything, but I know he's trying his best and he does love us and want the best for us in his own way. Jett is so strong and he loves us all so much, I do wish he'd take a break and allow someone to love him once and awhile though. Plus he gave me the best niece and nephew a sister could ever ask for. And then there's Jasper, who is my ride or die and without him I don't think I would have ever made it out of high school, he's one of my best friends." June took a breath and exhaled it slowly. "The worst part of being a Coleman is the extra stigma that goes with the name. Thinking we get away with everything and are greedy and just want to buy out all the ranches in town. it was obvious that the two of them had a few drinks in their system, but that wasn’t going to prohibit arie from having a good time. so here they were, in jett’s apartment, with not much on the agenda. “ thanks for hanging out with me. ” arie grinned at the other, a lot more loose than he had been in some of their previous encounters. “ i get all lonely by myself. ”

jules forced his tall frame to slouch among the booth like a manifest throne, spine stretched awkwardly due to the tight quarters the owner of the diner decided to construct his tables in. olive lenses were fogged with crimson veins, gray hoodie brought up over ragged curls & cheek turned to the side in attempt to cover the blunt tucked between calloused fingers. a dazed glance flickers over to their waitress, sloppy smirk taking place amid cut lips as he catches her stare. “you wanna hurry it up, princess ? the club closes in three fuckin’ hours,” his tone is filled with irritation -- directed at the man eating across from him -- despite not reaching arrogant features. at the realization that she’s approaching, he impulsively clamps his jaw shut & throws a knowing glance at the younger man, urging him to grab the check as he himself moves the lit joint beneath the table. it’s too quick of an action for jules lungs to process anyway though, and a milky cloud lingers from the corners of his mouth, causing him to snort as a filter of smoke twists around barbed ribs and clambers up his throat. a short coughing fit threatens to ensue, encouraging a look of concern upon the nearing workers features.
