Using the bathroom in general is a human right and should be enshrined as such and I'm not joking. Too many groups of people are denied bathroom breaks or the use of bathrooms entirely--disabled people, blue-collar workers, children, homeless people, prisoners, students, the elderly. I'm surely missing other groups. Not using the bathroom when needed can cause serious, long-term damage, not to mention death. Free, clean, accessible bathrooms should be available everywhere. It's fucking cruel to deny someone the use of the bathroom, regardless of the reasoning. I'd rather every student in the world goof off and every homeless person make a mess and every worker "steal company time" than let one person suffer because they're denied the right to fucking pee in peace.

I’m a fairly young teenager and I was talking online with some people about punk fashion, and this one guy, who is a fully grown adult will not stop harassing me for being a poser. I know he is in the wrong for plenty of things he has done (harassing me in my dms, telling me to commit, telling me to throw my phone off a bridge, insulting my weight after finding out I was a recovering anorexic), but I can’t help but wonder if he was right about some things, such as saying that if I’m too young to go to shows and that if there is no scene where I live then I’m not a real punk, and telling me that I am “too young to know stuff.” Is he right?

And he seems like he doesn't know shit abt being punk either. If you can't go to shows bc ur too young or theres no scene in your area, it makes you a baby punk yes, but not a poser. Only thing it means is "don't punksplain to ppl abt community rules or show ettiquette if you haven't been" which is common sense.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but as a painting student I suggest:

Dish soap and boiling water is WAY better than terpentine or paint solvent to fix dried out brushes.

Put the brushes in a cup.

Pour a dish soap.

Pour a boiling water to the level it doesn't reach the wooden part.

Leave them to soak and soften

Try to separate the hair on two parts, then on smaller and smaller parts.

At the end, carefully try to scratch off the paint and "break" the hair by carefully pushing it over a surface and moving (like over your palm). If you can't, repeat the previous steps.

Works even with dried out oil paints. Stronger fluid doesn't mean better.

Tho in harder cases you'd have to repeat the steps a few times to restore the brush fully.

So if you can't afford new brushes, don't throw the old away. Even if they seem helpless, there is a hope for them to be like new.

Can we please not gatekeep what counts as a shipfic worthy of equal treatment in a ship community based on standards from purity culture?

a pairing character having an additional monogamous sexual relationship does not automatically make it a polyfic/multi-pairing fic

a pairing or character engaging in a bdsm scene with a third character does not automatically make it a polyfic/multi-pairing fic

a character engaging in sex work does not make it a polyfic/multi-pairing fic

Could some of these situations make it a multi-pairing or polyship fic? Yes, they could in the right context, depending on the content of the fic. But does the existence of any sexual interaction with characters outside of the central pairing during the course of the fic, regardless of the context, the fic's relationship focus and endgame pairing, or the percentage of secondary-interaction content automatically stop it from being a "true" shipfic? NO!

Does it mean any fics including such content on-page, regardless of the situation or amount, deserve less opportunity and recognition because "some people might not want to read their OTP having sex with others"? NO!

Please, for the love of fandom, don't let people who can't handle even a glimpse of sex outside of traditional cishet monogamy define what "counts" as a shipfic/polyfic/multi-ship fic. AO3 tags exist for a reason! So does "don't like, don't read"!

Please, community owners/mods, consider the message you are sending about who belongs and what fanworks have value when you make rules and give preferential treatment based on standards of purity culture.

used geometry tools

used scaffolding innovations

used pigments mixed by others

used sketches and studies

used every tool available to him.

He was not a purity-culture artist. He was a problem-solver. If using tools invalidates art, then photography, digital art, film, and even Michelangelo's own apprentices would all be 'fake'. Creativity isn't defined by the tool - it's defined by the human making the decisions.

If he had AI? He'd use it.
