Like from the moment I heard this song on the Hamilton Mixtape, I already knew it was going to be one of my most favourite songs ever because as a woman of colour who immigrated to a new world with my family, it just hits so close to home. Seeing as a video jam-packed full of symbolism and thinking about the immigration crisis that’s going on in our world today --- It brought tears to my eyes.
