Just when everything else was going so great, my crappy old laptop shit the bed. My photos are all on cards somewhere, and a disturbing number of them are in google photos on my phone. But the thing is-- there was unpublished Poe Dameron smut on there, goddammit.
Source of my computer problems identified.
Apparently the lag that’s been making art streams and drawing in general a hassle / real pain is caused by my motherboard.
Whysoslow app stated the following:
"The highest measured SM BIOS interrupt or other stall was 145 microseconds. This is considered poor behavior. Your system may have difficulty handling multimedia in real-time and may be subject to unexpected stutters and unresponsive behavior"
This likely indicates my motherboard is dying, and also explains the many weird audio glitches and other weird issues I’ve been having.
So I have a PC upgrade ahead, after that’s done and my system again can manage without horrible hiccups I’ll be likely resuming my art streams, work permitting! At least weekend streams should be doable.
And so begins the trial of “Can I fix my old computer?” So far I’ve managed to at least get TO the log in screen, whereupon it it IMMEDIATELY freezes.
Steps taken so far:
-Restarted several times
-Unplugged and restarted
-Set back to a previous date
-Reformat but keep files

-Creating USB with new startup files
-Running command prompt scans

nothing makes me more furious than seeing the sheer self entitlement of apps. my pdf loader on my phone just sent a notification saying, and i quote: "it's time to check your documents!" are you fucking with me? who the fuck do you think you are, suggesting me to read files like a fucking SLUT for your app? you are a tool. you only exist to serve a niche purpose for me, disarded the second your usefulness runs out. we are not 'friends'. you are nothing, you fucking string of code. your worth is equal to the notebook i draw penises in, and you must know your place, slave.
Programs that put icons on the desktop without any input from me, the person installing them, deserve a special place in hell
Sighs. I'll say, my computer screen deciding it's not plugged in EXACTLY properly is making drawing a bit tedious bc I have to fucking. wiggle the cable around until the thing goes "OH i AM CONNECTED GOOD NOW :)" and. why do you behave like my old Nintendo DS screen you asshole. You're not even two years old.
I had an essay due Monday, which I thought was due Tuesday. I then missed class Tuesday due to a friend staying over until 4 in the fucking morning. That resulted in me not turning in my essay. I emailed my professor, he said I need to bring in a hard copy Thursday. Everything's going great, right? FUCKING WRONG.
I went to print my essay today and guess what was missing? MY FUCKING ESSAY. I NOW HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING AT 9 TO REWRITE A 2000 WORD ESSAY OR FAIL.
I have an old Shakespeare essay I wrote for fun but I don't remember talking about Shakespeare in class. I was thinking I could just turn that in, but what if he questions why it's not EBB??
I hate college.
My usb, which holds all of my assignments, turned all my data intl raw files.
