It's the year 2010. Two teens lurk outside the Azumano Police Station, crouching behind a parked police car. They try to be discreet as they speak in hushed tones, but the excitement is getting the better of them.

Tou: That's him, right? That's REALLY him?

Maki: I guess. He's essentially Dad but in black.

Tou: Dude... they look more like twins than us.

Maki: But this one looks more like you.

Tou: Hah? You're the one who looks a lot like our old man!

Maki: No way! But, I mean he's always got that wide grin on his face.

Tou: Well if you put it that way, I guess--

The blue-haired boy is interrupted midway as a shadow falls on them.

Maki: Shoot--

“Shoot” indeed.

Gardening - Emikosuke

“Would you mind pulling out the weeds on the far right?” Emiko called out, already clearing out some on her side. “Alright.” Kosuke nodded with a smile. Pulling on the gloves, he sets off to do some work. After a few moments, much of the weeds are taken care of. “Thank you, Kosuke-san. I was going to ask Towa-chan, but she seemed to be busy earlier.” The woman smiled, removing her gloves and putting them aside. “I’m glad to be of help.” The man smiled back at her. It’s at these times that Kosuke can cherish these moments. Such as being able to help Emiko if needed.

Valentine's 2025: kosuke and kei, meeting too soon or too late

Navigating the streets in an unfamiliar country was probably not the best idea, especially since he had a map blocking his view for the most part. Bumping into someone, Kosuke nearly dropped the map in his hand. “Ah…I apologize, I wasn’t watching where I was looking.” Looking up, he sees a bespectacled raven haired man smiling at him. “It’s no problem, I wasn’t watching as well, I was on my way out.” There was something off about the man that he couldn’t put his finger on, despite how the other looked. Yet as Kosuke looked up again, the man was no longer there.

Valentine's 2025: kosuke and kei, cherry blossoms!

Kosuke laid the blanket down with a smile, “What do you think of this spot for flower viewing?” “I think this is a nice spot that you chose, Niwa-san. I can definitely see the cherry blossoms in full bloom from here.” Hiwatari-san responded with a smile as well. The two sat down, side by side as they watched the pink petals fall. Then Kosuke placed the large bento box on the blanket, and he uncovered the top. Inside were some sakura mochi, onigiri as well as a variety of wagashi. Picking up a single onigiri, he handed it over to the other. “Why thank you, Niwa-san~ Perhaps next time, I’ll bring something for us to enjoy.”
