Anime Spotlight - Fanfare of Adolescence
I wanted to like this anime as its cute boys doing sports and having lots of shipping potential but damn was it boring and bland. The opening is great though far too good a song for such a dull series.
The plot is becoming inspired after witnessing a derby, 15-year-old idol Yuu shocks the entire nation when he leaves the entertainment industry to enroll in a prestigious horse racing school. Excited to pursue his latest passion, he gradually bonds with his new classmates—such as the talented Shun Kazanami and the self-assured Amane Grace—who are each unique in their own way. Although the path ahead may be full of obstacles, Yuu is determined to pursue his ultimate goal of becoming one with his horse.
So I'm not a big idol anime fan and hate the troupe of "I'm giving up being an idol to do a sport" but at least he takes some time to be good at it rather than just being good despite starting later than the other jockeys. Its all very nice and the characters aren't very interesting and the fujoshi baiting is blatant but the boys aren't interesting enough for me to care. It looks pretty but just doesn't have enough passion or ego to make a good sports anime.

07 GHOST
He might have less painful thoughts if he pulled the spire out of his ass.
At my parents' house for the holidays, so I had to choose a more PG anime to watch. I never watched the last 3 eps of Free: Dive to the Future, so I sat down to watch that.
5 mins in: I HAVE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE.
I forgot just how gay this show is. I wound up cackling and OHOHOHOHO-ing loudly the entire 23 minutes while my parents side-eyed me, like "wtf, was she always this weird?"
In those first 5 minutes, my brain saw the reasoning behind SouRin and MakoHaru (again). Then it returned to its original ships (RinHaru and SouMako) by the 10-minute mark because of all that evidence. And let's not forget Kirishima the Elder and Nao-senpai. And those 2 coaches, Mikhail and Mr. Perfect Muscles. And the only (practically canon) ship that hasn't changed for me or for many others: Reigisa.
Free!: the ultimate fujoshi bait anime (and it's bait worth taking-- see AO3 for all your needs after each ep).
Sanrio Boys
Ugh, even though I know this is such a giant marketing show, the show still made me have feels. Second episode made me cry with Kouta, I can totally relate to the regret he feels for yelling at his grandma and never getting the chance to apologize.
Also, fan service. Thank you Sanrio for giving fujoshi a show to thirst over.
tumblr was right... Yuri!!! on ice was just a fujoshi bait anime... I own you an apology tumblr... you were so right... :|
I can’t even…Look, there's a limit to stuff you can do for attention okay?? What is this world coming to…36. 36 kisses wtf. What if we die from blood loss huh?
I hate the term "fujoshi bait" I really do. Because it's not some trap we silly fujoshis fall into because the author just wanted more audience, it's called "fanservice", FANSERVICE! And every single anime has fanservice but just because some animes are starting to take fujoshis into account and add some yaoi fanservice it's suddendly some stupid "fujoshi bait". Well, how about from now on we call every single anime with huge breasted chicks "pervert bait" cause that's what it is for...
