Wip that warrants a rant in the description when it’s done but I’ll spare you for now. So I am really go in when/if I finish this
Uh also this is with the hc that he’s the uncle of the green fire schoolgirl, though in this she’s much younger and Victorian. This is ment to look like a picture/portrat from the period
(I gunna tag her as Fuki bc I’m pretty sure that’s a comon name)
Happy Birthday to our favorite Old Timer, Fu Hua!
You know, having just rewatched Shattered Samsara, I still maintain that it is the peak of Honkai Impact goodness.
It is the moment where Kiana's character arc pivots, where she fully realizes that any victory bought by sacrifice is incomplete, where she refuses to let sacrifice be the currency of their war.
From this moment on the entire story takes a hopeful turn, and while there is still a lot of darkness, a lot of pain and desperation to go through, I don't think it ever feel s as bleak or hopeless as it did before this. There is always the feeling of moving forward now.
And, of course, there is the gayness.
A lot of people love quoting "If saving you is a sin, I'll gladly become a sinner" as the hardest love confession in Honkai, and while I do agree that it is a damn fine one, this just...
"Wanna run away from me? Not a chance!"
*chef's kiss*
The entire sequence of Kiana breaking into Hua's illusion prison is honestly one big continuous love confession, and that line caps it off so well.
But even this pales in comparison to
Honestly?
That right there is true devotion.
She literally ripped through the void into an illusory pocket dimension prison.
And she does so while fundamentally rejecting Hua's deepest pain/fear:
"I won't let you become alone"
Kiana is very clear about this:
Hua is not alone.
She never was.
And Kiana loves her so much that she literally breaks through every trauma Hua holds to remind her Inchou of this.
God, that is peak romance.
