FIC 1

Title: Coffee Whim Word count: 15,095 (still in progress) Rating: General Pairing: KamiSero Warnings: slight mention of an oc that had passed away. Not focused on that. Summary: Classic coffee shop au. Kami loves coffee, Sero is good at making it. They fall in love easily, they take much more time in making any move tho.Fluff, fluff and more fluff. They go to a pair of dates too, very weird and not normal at all dates bc they are dorks. A lot of pinning, and mentions of the bakusquad. Kami is an Artist ™ (and an animation student), hes a very creative kid. Sero is a Programming student and a good advicer. They both tend to daydream a lot. Specially about each other. Mina is the matchmaker(¿??? So is Bakugo but he isn’t aware of it. He’s a good friend to Kami and tries to listen to him about his problems despite being the middle of the night. Kirishima is a writer wannabe and loves to fantasize, specially about Kami’s ideas bc they are Gucci. Sero asks his grandma coffee récipes so he can make Kami to smile more. He is that much of a cutie. They don’t Kiss until the end and it is because i love slowburn and shit. But when they do it is snowing bc im that romantic sue me.   1st ROUND CLAIM: @spitz-and-miley

Title: Security Word count: 26,556 (still in progress) Rating: PG-13 Pairing: Gen/No pairings Warnings: A slight mention of blood, wounds and some abuse, as well as vulgar language Summary: This fic features a lot of Parental Moments between Aizawa, Toshinori, and Izuku. Different points of view are told throughout the story, allowing a fresh perspective from various characters' insights. The writing style used provides detailed descriptions but also leaves room for creative interpretation by the artist. 1st ROUND CLAIM: @nekosisterart

Now that all fics have been claimed by one artist, I will open up second fic claims and solo track for 24hrs.

This post will remain open to second claims until tomorrow, midnight GMT, after which second claims and solo track will be closed.

Update - Schedule change and new Artist track option!

This is going to be a long (BUT POSITIVE!) post, please bear with us and make sure you take in the changes.

We’ve been monitoring the FCB engagement from both writers and artists and decided on a few changes today.

Firstly, there will be a schedule change, to clarify, our timeline has been extended.

NEW SCHEDULE

As follows:

11th January - Rough Draft 18th January - Artist Claim Previews 19th January - Artist Claims 15th February - Art Rough Drafts due 25th February - Posting Begins

Please note that there will be no extensions given with these new deadlines in place as we don’t want to set the event back any further, we just want people to be able to provide their best work. But mostly, we want you to have fun with us and for this not to be a source of stress!

What we’re hoping to achieve with this:

Writers

We have a lot of people participating who are very enthusiastic and want to see FCB through. That doesn’t change the fact that 15,000 words is a big ask. Because of the nature of what we’re trying to deliver for FCB, we really want to stick to that word count goal as we think it’ll be an amazing body of work!

However, recently we have had quite a few drop in writers, which is shame. But we also understand that people are strapped for time. You have obligations outside of FCB which take precedence and we understand that too. We haven’t taken into account that our deadlines clash with exam and coursework deadlines for those studying, but also that they clash with the holiday season, which for some, doesn’t allow for much time.

If you originally signed up as a writer and have recently dropped out, please feel free to review the amended timeline, and if you feel that you can work to it and would like to stay on, just drop us a line via email. If not, no hard feelings, we hope you enjoy the rest of the event!

Artists

We’ve actually been discussing the artist role for some time now. At the moment, our artists outnumber our writers. Before deciding to alter the timeline, we decided to open up the solo track for artists post claims. We’re now bringing that forward.

The idea would be that once all the stories were claimed in a first round, anyone who had not claimed a story would get a chance to do so in second round claims, but there would also be the solo track option for those who wished to do a little project on their own.

We are going to go ahead with this now but please bear in mind that if you chose the solo track we will be expecting a more robust project from yourself

So as it stands, here is what you’d need to produce:

Fic Claims - Requirements

These will be kept the same.

1. Only completed/finished artworks will be accepted 2. Fully coloured or greyscale (comic/manga style) are allowed. No sketches/linearts as final submissions 3. With or without background is allowed, as long as the subject looks finished 4. Minimum of one artwork per artist, per piece

Video/AMV

1. Minimum of 60 seconds 2. Must be original clips/art from actual series, using another artist’s artwork with or without their permission

Solo Track - Requirements

The idea for solo track is that artists are also producing pieces telling a story

1. Only completed/finished artworks will be accepted 2. Fully coloured or greyscale (comic/manga style) are allowed. No sketches/linearts as final submissions 3. With or without background is allowed, as long as the subject looks finished 4. Minimum of one-three artworks or a full page comic per artist, per piece, if you are submitting one piece only it must be accompanied by a paragraph providing context

Video/AMV (remaining the same)

1. Minimum of 60 seconds 2. Must be original clips/art from actual series, using another artist’s artwork with or without their permission
