In honor of #wellnesswednesday, I am sharing this great #wellnesswheel. Are there aspects here where you want to improve or where you feel unsatisfied or unbalanced? Are you focused too much on a couple of these and neglecting others? Wellness, I believe, encompasses all parts of ourselves and our lives, #mind, #body, #emotion, and #spirit. All illness is a result of these components coming off balance, or off center. this is the root philosophy of my practice, hence the name #fullycentered. When we are injured, we are perhaps imbalanced in our functional movement or physically but we may also have nutritional aspects leading to #inflammation, or emotional parts of us that are manifesting physiologically, and emotion and spirit are affected by ALL aspects of our lives, encompassed here in this great graphic. When I work with clients for #massage, #pilates, #yoga, or #nutrition, as their focus, we still combine all elements of #mindbodyspirit, and may delve into these as well. For my #wellnesscoaching clients, we most certainly look at these elements and work find center - whether that is back from stress to #groundedness, pain to pain-free, illness to wellness. It is always good to examine this wellness wheel a few times a year and assess if you are addressing all of your needs and are happy and centered in all of these elements. I find #meditation is a key to the way in to find your center and way in - more on this in future posts and some basics of #breathing and #meditation so you can find your focus and center to achieve your highest potential in all of these interrelated aspects: Physical wellness (body), emotional wellness, mental wellness, intellectual wellness, social wellness financial wellness, occupational wellness, environmental wellness. Wishing you the greatest wellness and centeredness and success! #fullycenterednyc #wellness #wellnessnyc #holistichealth #holistichealthnyc #eastvillage #manhattan #happiness #success #pathtowardswellness (at East Village, Manhattan)
