*The Interviewer and a client planning an absurdly dangerous death-fake*
The Interviewer: I think Houdini did something like this once! Why, if I recall correctly, he was out of the hospital in no time!
Client, deadpan: Well that's encouraging.
What was the point of establishing Qrow not liking Winter and she thinking the same thing in Vol 3, only to barely have any interaction between them at all when they meet again?
Not a clue, anon. RWBY introduces interesting conflicts and relationships, but then limits them to specific volumes or even just moments. Qrow and Winter have a rivalry going because they wanted an awesome fight scene and humor to break up the inner circle meeting. Now that they’re focused on other things in Volume 7 that dynamic has disappeared. We got a glimmer of it when Winter accused Qrow of not stopping the group from stealing the airship, but that’s it. In another show, one that decided to treat those actions seriously, Qrow would have sniped back in a way that a) firmly planted the responsibility where it belonged and b) demonstrated that semi-antagonistic relationship they’ve got going. Instead we got Qrow turning their theft/endangerment into a joke and using a tone that’s far more buddy-buddy with Winter than we saw volumes back... so yeah.
In case anyone is wondering, switching back and forth between The Magnus Archives and the Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack is a surprisingly fun experience. 😂😂
Back in Missouri, for about 36 hours. Enough time to unload the U-Haul (and make a mess of my room), sleep in my own bed, unpack my suitcase so I can do laundry and then repack my suitcase, and hang out with my baby sister for a bit. I have so much to do when my trips are over but until then I am living my best life
