4 Simple #Fun Life Hacks
Fun scary halloween costume.
Vampire? Werewolf? Zombie? Alien? What should my costume be? Well, whatever it is, here's a fun way to make it spookier. For this, I'm going to assume Werewolf. Because why not? First, purchase a cheap rubber werewolf mask at a halloween store. Even a dollar store mask will do. Next, purchase some liquid electrical tape, some wires, some red LED lights, a small AA battery holder (that holds two AA batteries) and some AA batteries. Next, a hot glue gun and some glue sticks for it. (CAREFUL, when they say hot, they mean BLISTERINGLY HOT) Finally, a soldering iron and some solder. Here's what you do: Carefully hotglue the battery pack somewhere your face won't be touching on the mask, wear the mask and feel around inside with your hand if you have to, but make sure of this. Carefully hotglue the red LED lights in the eye sockets of the mask so they're sticking out, MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT BLOCKING YOUR VISION. Solder the battery pack to the LEDs. You now have a spooky mask with glowing red eyes. You could even add a power push button to make them light up/go dark. Liquid electrical tape over all solder points. Also, if you need, coat the back end of the LEDs with liquid electrical tape. Don't worry, LEDs don't heat up. And it'll block the red light from glaring back into your eyes and hurting them. As long as the front end lights up that people see, that's what matters. Now, the test. Put on the mask, load up some batteries, go in the bathroom, turn out the lights, and see how you look. If not spooky enough, add fake blood around the mouth of the mask. Happy Halloween.
