30 DAYS OF NIGHT (2007) dir. David Slade
if I had a nickel for each time a james tolbert character was compensated by another (wealthy) character in a piece of starcanwreckedpulp media, I'd have one nickel, because samuel stratford had much more to lose than a place in line
one of the kuuga things that really gets me is episode 14 is like. here's ichijou putting himself in danger being the one who operates the boat in the river baiting this grongi and you're like oh no! i mean someone has to do it but that does seem like a dangerous idea ichijou! (but you know he and godai are alike etc. ichijou does it because he feels he has to etc.) and then episode 15, the next episode, is like, btw ichijou's dad who he idolises and tries to emulate died saving people in a river jsyk. and you're then like. oh. ok.
hey hey hey @lanvady
not nice
“He told me that he’s taking me to see his Master, Baoshan Sanren.”
“I can take you to see Baoshan Sanren.”
***
“If you see Xingchen, just say... Never mind.”
“Uncle, was there something you wanted to say to Wei Wuxian back then? You wanted to talk to Wei Wuxian. But you didn’t say a word.” “Take care.”
“cheng, didn’t you lose your demeanor as a clan leader?“
so on the subject of finding parallels between how people treated wei wuxian and how people treated mo xuanyu (or wei wuxian as mo xuanyu), that’s what i found
1. people blaming them for something when they have no evidence, basing judgement purely on hatred towards them (and some people defending them)
2. being infamous, the truth about them being twisted to fit the public narrative
3. not being allowed back to koi tower for bullshit reasons
4. being blamed for crimes they didn’t commit, because it benefited jgy
5. being treated like shit because of social status/who their parents were/more bullshit reasons
not really trying to make any points here, because, as i said before (and idk if my post showed up), thinking about these parallels makes my brain hurt and i have no idea what any of this means. but i hope someone would find all this as interesting as i think this is.
