you have to memorize 600 French words??? that's so fucked up???? why on earth do people think this is the better way to learn a language????????

i do higher french in scotland and we do a mix of things for the final exam: a reading worth 30%, directed writing (a topic you have to write about that you haven’t prepared for) worth 10%, a listening worth 20%, a writing (a tiny specific question from one of the 15 essays you have prepared so about 7,000 words that have gone to waste yay) worth only 10% and a speaking worth 30% so i think it does help you to learn the language but the stuff you do the most work for you get the least amount of marks for which is really fucked up ygm
