The Australo-Hungarian Empire at Its Greatest Extent.
Three words: Hungarian kangaroo cavalry.
A whole different Waltzing Matilda.
Emperor Frank Bruce II.
That's all I've got, but it's late and I'm tired.

An interesting peculiarity which was pointed out over a week ago. Every millimeter of US territory along the Pacific Ocean is now represented by Democrats in the US House.

Behold, the power of maps x web app! The live version will be released when I finish analysis, so that you can explore the data yourself!
Above: Map of the world with locations mentioned in modern ATLA AUs indicated by: color intensity (mentions of countries and US states) or bubble (mentions of cities), over time from 2012 - 2020. Values accumulate as the year slider moves.
Below: Map of the ATLA world, with locations mentioned in canonverse works indicated by bubbles (until counts grow above 100, in which case their size is reduced by a factor of five).
... I see I should probably make the colorbar uniform, ha ha.
So I came across this today when I was out on a fire call (Volunteer for the Red Cross! You will learn all the streets in your town!) I didn’t have time to take a photo, so here’s Google’s take on the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Barnes Court. My shippy little heart is happy.
Definitely art. Converted a HTML file containing SVG paths and points into matplotlib traces, then shapely polygons, then finally put it all into a Geopandas dataframe and made the choropleth plot with Plotly. Exported to GeoJSON, and now it’s on GitHub so you can play with it too! https://github.com/naggeluide/ATLA_map
Maybe using MapQuest from now on....
