Playable Zen Koto for The Sims 2

NEW custom musical instrument🎶

Koto is a long, wooden Japanese instrument with 13 strings. It is played by plucking the strings with picks on the fingers. The sound is bright, gentle, and relaxing. The koto is often used in traditional Japanese music. It represents the elegance and beauty of Japanese culture ⛩️

The perfect instrument for Sims who want to experience a Japanese aesthetic 🎐🎏

Actually, I thought for quite a while before deciding to make this instrument. Although I really love traditional and classic things, the animation and the mesh for this instrument was too difficult to recreate to me, and I only have basic Blender and Milkshape skills patched together from tutorials online.

But seeing something with a traditional touch in The Sims 2 is truly wonderful, so I accept my shortcomings. I did the best I could 💪

I added the tatami mat to make it look more like Japanese style 🎎🎋

This koto will increase creativity skill and music enthusiasm.

alright so, here's a bit from my recent firing! my liner glaze was very polite and handled the extensive crystal-growing temps like a champ. however... nothing can be sold in full confidence, as there are unexpected problems with pinholes, outgassing and application difficulties that can easily pave the way for future issues. back to the drawing board to fine-tune the chemistry of some glazes while prepping to better apply the glazes (i used one of those mouthpiece cans you can find on Amazon for 10 bucks that looks like a weird pump oil can for spraying the exterior glazes, which was horrendous for my asthma and completely absent of control. going to try an electric paint sprayer for more controlled/consistent results and to not pass out hyperventilating)

acid soak for the gorgeous blue crystal glaze this weekend and hopefully finding access to a gas kiln to try reduction-striking for enhanced effect. stay tuned!
