Kinda glad I held off on posting this. I took this yesterday after spending the whole morning moving my work computer to my desk at home...

Only to receive a call mere hours later, offering me to work at work to do the physical part of my usual job. All by myself. In a building that will be virtually empty. For an extra 25% pay.

While I accepted the offer, I’ve got loads of reservations about this. Namely the very daunting task of handling heavy loads of mail all by my lonesome, and considering how long I’ve been stewing in my room while my muscles deteriorated (somehow I lost at least 20 pounds during all this), this will be a very grueling job.

Also a dangerous one since no one will be around to help if I happen to get in an accident.

Also a confusing one because idk how this’ll stretch out into 8 hours since there won’t be anyone around for me to assign this work I’m unpacking.

Also, I have to haul everything straight back to work on Monday, meaning yesterday morning was nothing short of a total waste of time. 😣

So, no cute post about my Peri-site and her entourage of two wrestlers, a Pokémon, and a Power Ranger returning home after guarding my pod at work for almost a year; she’s just getting to acquaint herself with long-time mainstays-at-home Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin (yep I still have them hanging around, @47ness!) for a long weekend before having to be packed up with everyone else and returning to base Monday morning. I’ll certainly need their company. 😓

On the plus side, this is sure to kick my ass back into writing again. It’s been a month since I’ve made anything, but now the ideas are starting to let out reverberating screams in my head again...

Also, today marks my 10th anniversary of working for the IRS! So... that’s a thing.

Y’all are free to pester me with asks anyway, though. I could use some fun before throwing myself into some risky business next week.
