It’s been a steady climb to stardom for Ariana and the Rose since we first discovered the pop talent after an NBA affiliated television program utilized one of her songs a few years ago. The New Yorker is sure to propel herself even higher on that certain ascent with her new club-ready single, Night Owl, a vivid and seductive, vivacious and glamorous banger with a funky groove. Kaleidoscopic synths shimmer and pulse as Ariana and the Rose astonishes us with her vocal prowess on the electro house imbued dance pop jam, submerged in the sweaty, colorful essence of an ‘80s dance floor. Even if we don’t have such a dance floor to break out our moves on, it feels like our hearts are twirling, lunging, and spinning in bliss to this cosmically intoxicating, sexy carousing song. I can literally see the fog lights, the sharp lasers, and the flashing neon lights in my mind right now. Night Owl stemmed initially from a dark place and bloomed into an anthem of both self-assurance and community: “I was coming out of a tough few months and just beginning to feel like myself again,” said Ariana. “There had been another piece of news on TV that was just so disheartening. I sat down in the studio and wanted to make something that would lift everyone up. The mood of the song is about standing on your own two feet.”
