Crack up your family this Easter with these hatching hard-boiled eggs. They're not only delicious but also cute and perfect for Easter celebrations.
Ingredients: 6 large eggs. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon white vinegar. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. Carrot sticks for decorating. Black olives for decorating. Chives or green onions for decorating.
Instructions: Pour cold water over the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with a lid. Set the pan on high heat and boil the water in it. Once the water starts to boil, turn down the heat and let the eggs cook slowly for 9 to 12 minutes. Get a bowl of ice water ready while the eggs are cooking. As soon as the eggs are done, put them right into the ice water to cool for five minutes. Take care to peel the eggs after they have cooled, and cut a small slice off the bottom of each one to make it stand up. Cut each egg in half across the middle and remove the yolks. Crack the egg yolks into a bowl and mix them with the Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, pepper, and paprika. Do this until the ingredients are well mixed. Fill the egg whites with the egg yolk mixture so that the top is round like the body of a chick. Use black olive slices for eyes, chives or green onions for feathers, and small pieces of carrot for beaks. Give your hard-boiled eggs that are hatching as a cute and fun Easter snack.
