I love the fact that in 10 years or so, there will be posts on whatever new popular social media from young kids that will be like "hey guys, it's weird, I keep randomly finding old videos/posts/etc that start or end with messages like 'hope you're staying safe' and I somehow feel like there's a deeper meaning, you know. Is it one of those 'memes'?" and we'll all rise from our retirement-home-like social media to yell "Oh my god, kids those days, is school teaching you nothing at all?? See, our generation lived through The Great Plague of the 20s and during the time we couldn't go out and socialize, those little messages were our way to stay sane at a time when nothing was certain anymore" and the kids would be like "geez gramps, can't the millenials and gen z talk about any other subject than the plague?"
