Half Past You- ayokay ft. Future Jr.

*saxophone solo*
Future Jr.’s latest might be christened Forget About Me, but I can assure you, we’ll never forget about this Australian artist and his fleecy, silky vocals or his ever moving tunes. Future Jr., aka Matt Nainby, drops some flushed synthpop fire on Forget About Me, which comes hot on the heels of recent single Changing. Molten luscious is an understatement when it comes to this resplendently ravishing song, rich with fluorescent synths and resounding percussion. It’s a heartbreak ballad that references inner turmoil. Nainby alludes to a choice he felt he had to make between success in his career as a musician, or success in love. Forget About Me, out worldwide on Pavement Precocity / Kobalt, can be purchased/streamed, here.
Detroit production whiz ayokay “swung” our hearts around with his song Swing Swing last month, and now he renders it liquid with a followup single and the second taste from his forthcoming summer project. ayokay even partners up with Australia’s Future Jr. on Half Past You, a lustrous and dulcet electro-pop styled electronic song with effervescent synths and gooey melting vocals. We’re infinitely curious to learn more about ayokay’s new project. It’s shaping up to be a sublime listen. Revisit Swing Swing via our feature, here. Half Past You can be streamed/downloaded, here.
