Continuation from THIS post:

Flash forward and WTFUTURE becomes relevant again as Tord starts to gain control of "The Law" again.

Tord starts overtaking places using the Red Army, with no one to stop him from doing so. (Shout out to super average for doing jack shit)

Edd is not good with handling change at all, so when the world LITERALLY shifts around him he starts to lose his grip a little.

Luckily Matt and Tom are there to sorta anchor him a little, but there's only so much they can do.

Edd starts to grasp at any sense of the past he can and clings onto it for dear life, but that all stops when tord does his final test of seeing if the world is finally bending to his will:

He bans cola.

This sends Edd over the edge a little bit and he goes a little crazy.

He starts to get a little more frustrated far more easily, he's like a man on withdrawal.

Another rebellion another loss and edd has enough.

Tom and Edd get into a huge fight, and Tom's rage is being held back, but Edd:

Here's the thing:

Whenever Tord is gaining control of the law, there is something very apparent.

- Matt's face remained bruised until Edd got control back

- Tom kept a shoulder scar

- Tord kept an entire half body scar

So matt and edd look on in horror as Tom doesn't immediately heal from this and realize that Tord hold's the law now.

Matt tries to step in and help Tom but that does not go well at all.

They basically retreat from eachother. Matt takes what's left of Tom and heads over to the Red Army base and here's essentailly what Tord sees upon opening the door:

and now tord has to come to terms that he just cursed his friends with mortality

So they try and get edd back but then the events of WTFUTURE happen and YEAH.

TATER TED TALK INCOMING:

MFW people watched the newest eddisode and are finally coming to the conclusion I had about red leader tord for a few years now; that he likely isn’t a mind controlling, abusive, evil robot freak, but genuinely a person who wanted to fix the world and everything wrong with it and hurt his friends in the process.

I stole this screenshot from @ju1cyb4by on insta, as it framed my exact thoughts.

This is quite liberating for me, as I have been sick of seeing tord (and specifically red leader) being framed as this terrifying unfeeling robot lord who liked to hurt his friends. So much so it lead me to my headcanons where tord is a flawed individual who was just an idiot and hurt his friends unintentionally. Also that tom and Matt’s prosthetics were even possible thanks to tord. And that Edd wasn’t betraying him because tord was evil but genuinely because he was a salty little cracker.

You have no idea how both reaffirming and frustrating this is- it’s like seeing people realise after years of trusting that someone wasn’t a bad guy finally realise they were innocent, or weren’t as bad as they thought they were. I felt insane, like I was the only one who thought this. Like I was the odd one out.

Still, hopefully that’ll mean more people will enjoy my interpretations as closer to canon, as I have made them to be somewhat canon aligned.
