TATER TED TALK INCOMING:

MFW people watched the newest eddisode and are finally coming to the conclusion I had about red leader tord for a few years now; that he likely isn’t a mind controlling, abusive, evil robot freak, but genuinely a person who wanted to fix the world and everything wrong with it and hurt his friends in the process.

I stole this screenshot from @ju1cyb4by on insta, as it framed my exact thoughts.

This is quite liberating for me, as I have been sick of seeing tord (and specifically red leader) being framed as this terrifying unfeeling robot lord who liked to hurt his friends. So much so it lead me to my headcanons where tord is a flawed individual who was just an idiot and hurt his friends unintentionally. Also that tom and Matt’s prosthetics were even possible thanks to tord. And that Edd wasn’t betraying him because tord was evil but genuinely because he was a salty little cracker.

You have no idea how both reaffirming and frustrating this is- it’s like seeing people realise after years of trusting that someone wasn’t a bad guy finally realise they were innocent, or weren’t as bad as they thought they were. I felt insane, like I was the only one who thought this. Like I was the odd one out.

Still, hopefully that’ll mean more people will enjoy my interpretations as closer to canon, as I have made them to be somewhat canon aligned.

I ALMOST GEEKED THE FUCK OUT OVER THIS EASTER EGG IN THE NEW EDDISODE- I THOUGHT THAT WAS TROLLEDD 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀 Lovely framed photo of Edd Pony though, glad HE gets MORE recognition 🤬🤬 /j BUT THAT MEANS THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE TROLLEDD GETS SOMETHING- maybe I hope probably 😇

Review: Anyway, it was actually quite solid!! It had background music, good animation [obvi], no dialogue but it’s inspired by like Treehouse of Horror Simsons episodes/scary stories to tell in the dark-ish, which is cool. 8/10 Would of liked it more if they FUCKING EXPANDED ON THE TORD STUFF A LITTLE MORE, PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TOO IN MY EYES-

Overall i’m glad it came out, though it is a Halloween episode in the middle of july- the release schedule is definitely fucked 💀 /nm
