T. Rex's 11th studio album was released on 30 January 1976 (except in North America, where it was not released until 1987).

Futuristic Dragon continued Marc Bolan's interest in soul and the emerging disco sound, especially on the single "Dreamy Lady" (credited to "T Rex Disco Party").

The album peaked at #50 in the UK, despite mostly negative reviews. It's reputation has improved over time. It was the penultimate album released in Bolan's lifetime; he died in a car crash at the age of 29 on 16 September 1977.

Recently acquired. $20 in Discogs. Comes with an extra 5 song EP. and it rounds out my Marc On Wax editions. There’s one for Zinc Alloy, but I already have Light Of Love, which is almost the same. The original cover is definitely awesome, especially for this one, which is pet if the reason I bought it last. But I love having a run of the goofy MOW editions. Especially with the extra EP. covers of Do Yiu Wanna Dance and his wife singing Dock if the Bay are nice. His weirdness really shines in covers.

I also included the rest of my Tyrannosaurus Rex/T-Rex albums. I think k I’m set for a while. Lol. A little of the acoustic period goes a long way, now I need to figure out which is the little dose I really need. 6 albums may be a bit much.
