Nuclear Scrubs - Episode #150
On the latest FIRE & WATER PODCAST ... Just in time for the special 150th episode, frequent guests and Nuclear Subs DIABLO FRANK and RYAN DALY have kidnapped Shag and Rob and taken over the show! The episode starts with discussions on The Human Flying Fish and Slipknot, and goes downhill from there.
The Human Flying Fish first appeared in Adventure Comics #272, in a story by Robert Bernstein and Ramona Fradon:
In the first issue of Super Friends we meet his kid sidekick named Sardine!
Human Flying Fish then showed up in a children's book published around the same time called Super Friends: The Revenge of the Super-Foes featuring an all-new story.
Human Flying Fish surfaced again in 2007--a thirty-year gap--when writer Tad Williams brought us a new version of the character in Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis #54.
Slipknot was introduced in Fury of Firestorm #28 (Oct. 1984)
Slipknot lost an arm in Suicide Squad #9 (1988)!
Adam Beach in the Suicide Squad film playing Slipknot!
