Kat's beloved WIPS | Star Trek: DS9 and Strange New Worlds SECONDARY CONTEXT: The Alternative Reality In the year 2371, the Federation starship USS Voyager entered a plasma storm in Sector 04-70, near the space station Deep Space 9. It didn't exit it in the so-called Badlands, but was instead forced to embark on a years-long mission to find a way home from yet unknown parts of the galaxy. In the starship's tow entered the storm the commercial vessel CS Avadora and it, too, disappeared without a trace. Like the Voyager, the freighter and its pilot were transported to where they least expected it, although much unlike the Voyager, it wasn't a different part of space. Oh no, it was the correct corner of space, all right. The exact corner the courier was headed to ... only a hundred and ten years back in the past, and straight into the way of another Federation starship's crew currently in the middle of their five-year exploration mission. It was a mess that not even Daniels could have predicted — of all the seasoned Temporal Agents of course it had to be him to notice it first. Not even him could have foreseen this incursion to the timeline, but as always, it would have to be him to set it right. Only, there was another thing he couldn't know to count into his calculations: the mouthy pilot of the CS Avadora, her fists, her arguments, and her will to survive.

2026 OC PRIDE CHALLENGE: Day Eighteen ✸ White

Create stuff for your LGBTQIA+ OCs that use different colors of the pride flag! These could be edits using these colors, or you could even think of the colors as prompt words!

⤷ Aboard the Enterprise during Pride Month, Sydney Berlin finds herself reflecting on the journey that brought her here. After losing her mother as a child and growing up under the care of Montgomery Scott, she spent years searching for where she belonged. Now, as a Starfleet officer living the dream she once imagined at the Academy, she’s finally built a life filled with adventure, purpose, and love.

When the crew organises a Pride celebration themed around the white stripe of the Pride flag symbolising authenticity and the freedom to be yourself, Sydney is asked to share her story. Standing beside her partners, Pavel Chekov and Kevin Riley, she reflects on how unexpected her happiness once seemed. What began as a summer friendship with two neighboring cadets eventually grew into a loving polyamorous relationship built on trust, respect, and unwavering support.

As stars shimmer beyond the observation lounge windows, the three of them spend the evening discussing the futures they once dreamed of and the lives they’ve built together.

OC HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE 2025: DAY SEVEN: Web of What-Ifs

If one thing had been different, would everything be different? What if your oc took on the role of someone else? Or, even better, what if your oc came face to face with a version of themselves who made different decisions? This day is about the butterfly effect, role reversal, or the multiverse!

If Sydney Berlin and Guinevere Riordan ever came face to face with their counterparts from the Kelvin timeline, the meeting would feel like staring into a mirror that reflected the choices never made. Prime Guinevere, steady and thoughtful in her devotion to James T. Kirk, would be startled by the bold confidence of her alternate self, whose romance with Kirk burns hotter, shaped by a universe of chaos and urgency. Meanwhile, Prime Sydney, loyal, light-hearted, and in love with Pavel Chekov, would find herself intrigued (and maybe a little scandalised) by her alternate’s unapologetic embrace of love with both Chekov and Kevin Riley in a poly relationship that challenges her own notions of romance and duty. For both women, the encounter would blur the lines between fate and choice, as they confront the unsettling realisation that love, loyalty, and identity shift dramatically when the stars are aligned just a little differently.
