Shadow's relationship with G.U.N is interesting. He doesn't seem to hold any resentment towards them and will even work with them if it helps his goal, but he also won't hesitate to go against them if they become an obstacle.

Commander Tower overlooks Shadow's trangressions as a way of paying him back for saving the world, but also because he's the only other living person who understands his grief.

One of the ideas I had when the first Sonic movie came out was G.U.N forming a game studio to make games about sonic himself in some attempt to hide what happened and claim the whole event of the first movie was marketing stunt gone wrong

And a few years after settling down, a whole commercial for Sonic The Hedgehog plays while Sonic is watching TV, seeing the ad like "The fuck?!"

I know that idea is pretty dumb but just imagine if they actually did form a game company instead of forming public headquarters for the vault (or at least combining the two)

Think of the absolute chaos that would soon unfold, whether by the Wachowski's, Robotnik or even Shadow himself if they dare try to adapt his story in any way
