@lizacstuff @flslp87 This goes with one of my thoughts that there will be effects here so that it’s apparent she sees him but he doesn’t see her?  Or something?  In any case, I hope by the end of the episode we DO have what Colin hoped we would when asked about the 100th episode…HOPE.

@g8rmom7 I tend to agree that there will be efx so that it is obvious that she seems him and he doesn’t her. Whether he’s unable because of the mechanism of their form of communication OR because he’s just in too bad a shape to do so, remains to be seen.

However, I think the episode will leave us plenty hopeful for Emma to get to him.  I speculate that we’ll pry end with her doubling down on her determination and commitment to get to him and save him and she’ll try and encourage the others to turn back, but they will also reaffirm their commitment to the mission.  

Honestly, I really can’t wait for 5x13. It should be good!

Regarding the posts about Kilian's heroic actions in 5x11. I was just thinking about this and in Camelot when he was on the floor of Granny's bleeding out, IF Merlin had said "the only way to save him is to turn him into the Dark One and it would release Emma from the Darkness too", do you think Killian would have been more willing to take it on? I keep thinking all through 5A that Killian would not have been fooled by Clippy in his head at all. He might have been able to control it better. ?

Probably but that would have been way too easy. They needed Emma to doubt him and they needed Killian to be hurt by that doubt because they needed Killian to hit rock bottom to make the moment where he fights back in the end all the more poignant.

The same things that drove Killian to darkness in Camelot are the same things that drove him there in Storybrooke...what he perceived was Emma’s betrayal. 

Those things needed to happen so that the rest of the events could unfold as they did. I try not to overthink the “What if....??” scenarios, ya know?

Looking forward to your New Girl/CS ff. New Girl really is the reason I started watching OUAT this summer because NG broke my heart with how they handled Nick and Jess in season 3. I wanted to find a ship that I knew would be end game and they wouldn't "break up" for no good reason. Bless you for writing this and hopefully it will help me heal. LOL

I ‘broke up’ with New Girl early in season 3. Nick and Jess were my OTP or OTP’s and I just hated they way they (and the whole show) were messed up.

Thankfully, this was about the time I was coerced over into the OUAT fandom and honestly, I’ve never looked back. 

That said, I’ve written a lot of New Girl FF in the past so I have a lot of material to draw from for this fic!

So you WANT to kill me? Sincerely though, that was beautifully written and at least you made the angst in 5A look like a cake walk. So there's that. :-) I DO want more though! The bigger the angst, the bigger the reward! You've been telling us that!

oh dear me, that wasn’t even the most painful thing i’ve ever written, it might not be in the top 5 (although i have to admit it was pretty painful, i was most of the way through it and i was like “jfc what am i doing this was a horrible idea,” so naturally the only way to deal with it was to finish and inflict it on everyone else). since i’m between multichapter projects at the moment, i basically got cornered by an evil plot bunny and as i am well known for enjoying to inflict pain on the fandom via fanfiction, i went for it.

but yes, more angst = more reward. in the show at least, and with me as well.
