Headcanons for the prompt "jealousy":-

In the initial stages of their relationship Toph felt like she won't have any problem with girls drooling over her man,it had always been that way after all. First it was Suki, actually no,it was every girl EVER. even the MOON. But it was quite the opposite,she used to become agitated more than Sokka,she had liked him since she was very young and never had a chance with him(or so she had thought) and now that she did,she had no wishes of entertaining any threats!.

Sokka on the other hand was way more subtle with his anger when he felt jealous,there were times when Toph being Toph came a little too close to men,she had never been girly and just gelled with guys better so she never intended for all this to happen nonetheless it did and Sokka tried to keep his calm,he and Toph bickered a lot which is why he didn't want to add on the reasons for them to argue. Also,he knew she was loyal to him and it was just her nature. He seldom gave into this bullshit(yes, he's over protective. No, he's not a controlling jerk.She never got too close anyway,what bothered him was the way guys looked at her which was not at all her fault).

One time Toph got overly offended at Sokka because he had been going to late night dinners with a group of people,they were all in the council together and managed the same area of issues. One of the women was from the water tribe too and was overly feminine,she constantly made advances at him and though Sokka always denied her "offers" Toph knew that it was one of the traits Sokka had earlier sought for in women and that was enough to make her more than annoyed. To get back at him,she tried to make him jealous and get closer to one of the guys Sokka always had an argument with. But she couldn't stand him at all!!. She only wanted to talk to him and Sokka to feel what she felt but it just wasn't happening,she pushed the guy away in every two minutes. Sokka knew what she was trying to do and found it cute and pitiful,she was trying so hard.That night Toph was extremely frustrated and wasn't talking to him at all till Sokka put his arms around her and leaned in to give her a kiss on her neck. "Good effort but no".

Sokka often made fun of how TOPH BEIFONG became jealous faster than any woman he had ever seen and she found it overly irritating. She never accepted this and they both used to drag Aang in this. While Sokka used to hit him with facts calmly,Toph used to start screaming about how over protective he is and that this behavior is more expected from him and not her. A conclusion was never reached but they both knew Sokka was right.

Sokka had once heard a soldier cat calling Toph and before she could earth bend and get him to senses, Sokka's boomerang had him pinned to the wall and his fist was in mid-air,almost about to hit the guy's face. Toph made fun of him for getting so dramatic and over protective and jealous. But she spent the night feeling safer than any woman in the world in his arms. (She mocked him for the heck of it but she knew he wasn't jealous but infuriated at the guy,he had spent hours being grumpy and saying things like "Stupid, idiot, brainless, disrespectful man,does he even know who you ARE?. messing with my girlfriend,as if,if only killing was legal I would've-",till Toph had to cut him off mid sentence and calm him down.)

I was rewatching avatar, as one does, and I saw this.

See how Zuko doesn't move when Iroh throws fire at him? When normally he would pass to a fight stand or even flinch, I mean for gods's sake, his father did the same and ended up burning his face. But he didn't move. Because Zuko knows how much Iroh loves him, even if he doesn't acknowledge it, Zuko knows his uncle is nothing like his father and would never, ever, hurt him. This is how deep and how much love there is in Iroh's and Zuko's relationship, the ultimate trust they have for one another. This is where Ozai is Zuko's father and Iroh is Zuko's dad.
