This Peach & Oregano Galette combines the sweetness of ripe peaches with the aromatic flavor of fresh oregano, all wrapped in a flaky crust. It's a delightful rustic dessert perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 store-bought pie crust. 4 ripe peaches, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour. 1 tablespoon fresh oregano leaves, chopped. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash. 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar for sprinkling.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Roll out the pie crust on a parchment-lined baking sheet. In a bowl, toss together sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, oregano, and lemon juice. Arrange the peach mixture in the center of the pie crust, leaving about 2 inches of dough around the edges. Fold the edges of the pie crust over the peach filling, pleating as you go. Brush the edges of the crust with beaten egg and sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are tender. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
