Ken Sugimori starter trio! Featured on the cover of the 1997 Pokémon RGB 大百科 (Encyclopedia). A digitally colored version was apparently used as the front page of the original Game Freak site (don't know when, I found it archived on some old fansite, those are pure gold).
And you can download a zip with an uncompressed larger version and the sources for the digital one (7.31 Mb), mind it might not be the original file used on GF's site.

You asked for it... we teamed up with Fleckaben to restore this iconic 1997 piece by Ken Sugimori from the original Game Freak website titled 雪祭り (Snow Festival) featuring Red, Seel and Articuno making snow sculptures ... (original file name CA01_02.jpg, Mind these have been heavily reworked, hence the full-res original might look somewhat different if released! ) Enjoooy!
