“Just a bit? Looks to me you had your bell rung good to be laying around in the rain.” Don’t let his dry tone fool you, he’s definitely relieved. Mohn offers to help her up.

“I know it ain’t any of my business, I don’t even know your name. But… please take better care of yourself, kid. Someone out there’s gotta care if you wreck yourself fighting over something stupid.” It was something he was trying to convince himself of equally… sometimes ideas are easier to promise than to adhere to your heart.

“The party’s ending anyway. Mind if I walk you home?”

Zinnia accepts Mohn’s help getting up.

“Hey, don’t worry. Like I said, I’ve had worse. I always make sure not to get too in over my head, y’know?”

She rubs her head. Ow. Looks like there’s one more bruise she didn’t realize was there before.

“As for getting home… that’s not really an option for me? I’m sort of the type that’s always traveling. If that makes sense. Home’s a bit more than a night’s walk away. Haven’t… haven’t really gotten to the ‘where to stay tonight’ part of the plan yet, come to think of it.”

She ponders for a bit.

“Do you think Team Skull might spare a bed?“

Someone has been found face-down on the floor in the middle of Po Town. It is a short young woman with black hair, identified with a burnt beige cape. A small trickle of blood is next to her face.

Someone give this poor girl some help.

Four universes? Can you describe how they differ? I guess at least one of them lacks Mega Evolution or something?

“Okay, so, for the sake of not rambling too much and for keeping possibilities open for RP scenarios I’m just gonna talk about the major differences I’ve seen so far. Unfortunately, I’ll need to explain them a bit out of order.”

“Universe Beta is the one I met Greta in a while back -- no Mega Evolution, the legends of Hoenn never achieved Primal Reversion, and there was no meteor crisis. Other than that, though, everything is more or less similar if not the exact same as in...”

“Universe Delta, my home universe. Mega Evolution, Primal Reversion, the works. Meteor crisis, stopped. It was a wild time, y’know?”

“Oddly enough, the wormholes to get here are way, way more common than any leading to the other three. I wonder if something happened to cause it...”

“Gamma is where things get... bothersome. Like Delta, it had Primal Reversion as well as the effects of AZ’s weapon, and so Mega Evolution exists. However, unlike Delta, there’s no sign of the Draconids. No sign of another one of me, or of Aster, or of any of us. So, when the meteor came...”

“...My first visit was before the meteor crisis. After Aster... after we lost Aster. Since I was put into the role of Lorekeeper so suddenly, I was understandably stressed out about the incoming disaster, and dealing with grief and what have you. I ended up stumbling across Gamma just in time to hear the news about their own meteor, and how they dealt with it.”

“They followed through with the Link Cable plan. Ripped a hole in the sky, caught the meteor, cheering, the day is saved, happily ever after, right?”

“Then a bunch of creatures came out of the newly made wormhole and things went into chaos.”

“As soon as I could, I found my way out of Gamma, and stumbled into...”

“Universe Alpha. As far as I know, it was just like Beta, up until a meteor appeared out of seemingly nowhere and crashed into an island a bit south of Cinnabar Island. As it turns out, using incredible reality-warping power on a celestial object has consequences, especially when it just so happens that the celestial object in question is home to a space virus with phenomenal psychic ability. Luckily, the island that it impacted -- Birth Island -- was uninhabited, so the impact didn’t do anything horrible on its own, but now there’s a huge area where things are weird that spread like a fallout cloud. The entire place is full of what I can only describe as ‘glitches’. It’s weird and I don’t like it and I’m glad I stopped that from happening in Delta.”

“That explanation went on way longer than I wanted it to, but, there you have it.”

(Now that I’ve established that the Alphaverse, Betaverse, Gammaverse, and Deltaverse exist, I’ll be tagging things that could feasibly happen in canon under whichever respective ‘verse it fits best in, and “Gammaverse” will be for all canon-defiant material. Even blatantly contradictory stuff!)
