fun fact: they arent alligators! they are one of the largest fish in north america! they have ganoid scales which are bone-like and diamond shaped. they're mostly found in the central/southern USA, from Illinois south along the Mississippi river. they have teefies!

as someone who has been a fan of the 100 gar video for a long time i really didnt expect to stumble on the full 6 minute video in which this poor fisherman proceeds to individually untangle and throw back all the gars into the lake which are borderline velcro-d onto his net
