it's funny because i remember being a little kid scrolling pinterest looking at furry art and suits and thinking it was so damn cool... and now i have the chance to make it happen and make some new friends too:D

it's gonna be a partial heavily inspired by the 1951 cheshire cat.... but very mixed media. will do a few diagrams as i continue to plan and develop concepts ^_^

Yep, according to the novelization of the Corbomite Manuver, which is based off of the script/screen play of the episode, this move:

of picking up the lettuce with his hands was not originally present! This either means the script was changed between the writing of the book and the production of the episode to make a visual gag

or

William shatner decided as an actor to make kirk a feral little man who had no idea how to eat a salad

this is in fact my first watch and i just finished 7x9! so if i change my opinions on shit like 57 times or say things that don't make sense with later episodes that's why lmao im just out here real time reacting to images sounds etc
