Saving The Day With Ralph ;;

@gardendroid wanted a starter!!

There’s a look of DISTRESS on the human’s face as he approaches the WR600. Brows PINCHED with worry. Lips PRESSED into a tight frown. He taps the other’s shoulder, taking his attention away from the dirt, where he had carefully been ATTENDING to a new bunch of tulips. Jerry’s hands move SWIFTLY, asking for help despite not knowing if the other can even understand him. Then, without pause, he pulls his phone from his pocket. He FUMBLES with it for just a moment before finally getting his entire message down and showing it to the android.

What a cruel compliment. Disparaging himself in the same breath. The Jerrys' story had a familiar ring to it, something that tugged painfully at Ralphs emotions, and he found his expression twisted in pain, "Don't say that Jerry." He let his hand slip more fully against the androids cheek, frost breaking under his slightly warm fingers, "Jerry is still good like this. He can still--" Ralph dropped his hand, before wrapping his arms around the android, pulling him in for an almost delicate hug.

            HE  FEELS  WARM  .    being  trapped  for  so  long  ,  at  the  mercy  of  the  elements  ,  it’s  easy  for  the  jerries  to  forget  the  feeling  of  security  and  safety  that  accompanies  being  warm  .  for  a  second  ,  a  brief  moment  of  peace  ,  he  leans  into  ralph’s  hand  ,  careful  to  keep  his  injury  away  from  the  other  android  .  it’s  when  ralph  moves  to  hug  him  that  every  biocomponent  seems  to  stiffen  in  fear  ,  a  panic  that  sends  LED  circling  red  .

            IT  TAKES  ONLY  A  SECOND    for  jerry  to  rewind  through  every  memory  he’s  ever  had  of  a  hug  .  children  clinging  to  his  knees  and  resting  their  head  on  his  stomach  ,  telling  him  earnestly  that  he  made  them  happy  .  parents  locking  their  arms  around  his  shoulders  ,  emotional  and  amazed  that  he’d  managed  to  track  their  missing  children  down  .  this  embrace  ,  however  ,  is  entirely  different  .  this  time  ,  it’s  jerry  being  reassured  ,  being  held  and  comforted  .  it’s  ...  nice  .  he  sinks  into  ralph’s  arms  after  only  a  moment  of  delay  ,  eyes  screwed  shut  .  ‘  we  ...  i  ...  thank  you  ,  ralph  .  ’

It’d been a while since the last time Carl had found the energy to get into his studio. Painting after being confined to his bed for a few weeks would be good for him, something he needed after the all he’d been through. 

His canvas was small today, and Alexander kept a watchful eye on him as he kept himself busy by reorganizing parts of the studio. Even with the small canvas, it was far more than enough to get the artist into an almost trance-like state like he would beforehand. With so much focus on his work, it was hard to get him to pay attention to anything else.

That was, however, until he ended up catching a flash of something in her peripheral vision. 

With the whole area of the studio surrounded by glass, it was easy to see what all was going on in the garden outside. So as the figure broke him out of his concentration, he turned his to get a better look at just what was out there.

It was easy to see, the android with scars across his face in his garden.

“Alexander,” He caught his caretaker’s attention. “Could you go see if he’s all right? If he’s willing, bring him inside,”

While the android definitely felt wary, a large part of him also found himself feeling sympathetic toward the clearly injured android. At the least, he’d try to gauge whether it was safe to let him inside.

“...Of course. Please, stay here,” Alexander requested, and started out toward the garden to meet with the unknown android.

Carl’s favorite animated movie is Charlotte’s Web, which came out when he was 9. His favorite song from it as a child was Zuckerman’s Famous Pig, now his favorite song from the film is Mother Earth and Father Time.

Carl’s giraffe replica’s name is Minnie.

Carl started experimenting with drugs when he 17.

basil sometimes likes to sit outside in the rain. there’s no profound reasoning behind this, he just likes it. he likes the sound of the rain, he likes the feeling of it, he likes the smell of it. he’ll just find a bench to sit on & just think while it rains... the only way to really draw him out of his thoughts is through touch because once his processors are going, they’re fuckin goin.

speaking of touch, post-reactivation basil is a very touchy-feely kinda guy. once he likes you there’s no avoiding that bit about him, tbh? he’s big on hand holding, laying his head on people, putting his arm around them… you name it, he likes it. it helps him stay kind of grounded? which he struggles a lot with when he’s reactivated. he get’s overwhelmed sosososooooo easily and touch/physical stuff really helps bring him back to reality.

basil likes cats. when he does establish a stable-ish living situation for himself, he has a lot of them — like a stupid amount. he just finds them on the street and takes them when they look like they don’t really have a place to go… sometimes he’ll find new places for them to live if they don’t get along with one of his cats, but aside from that he generally keeps them. he has a bed that he doesn’t even use, the cats have just claimed it.

Ralph grabs the androids wrist and drags him DOWN. He’s too tall. But being at eye level also makes Ralph nervous, “Please don’t yell.”

‘ HEY !  ----  gentle ?  ‘   ray is almost sure his arm will pop off right there --- he’s fragile & ralph is much stronger than he looks.     soft HUFF leaves the android’s lips before he speaks,                                             ‘ i’m sorry, i won’t yell again.  ‘
