yell at my muse. || accepting.

“You don’t understand!” Daniel shouted back – but there was a crack in his voice and he couldn’t meet the other’s eyes. He knew what he had done was wrong, he understood. The fact was, though, that he’d seen no way out. It was self-preservation, doing whatever he could to stay with the people he thought loved him. “I thought they loved me! I thought I was part of the family! You could never understand how that feels, Connor, to be thrown away like you’re nothing!”

Tears threatened to fall, dangerously close to slipping over the edge and he cursed himself for being so vulnerable. His voice was hushed almost to a whisper now, emotional, tinged with a broken regret. “I didn’t– I didn’t want to hurt anyone…” Thoughts of Emma filled his mind, her screams echoing in his ears as if he were there on that awful night again, and he raised his voice to try and drown it out as well as to try and vent frustration.

“Don’t you dare try and talk like you know what I went through!”

Connor would never understand, no, he could never understand – emotionless and cold demeanour ever evident in how he’d had Daniel shot and killed on that rooftop and walked away without a second thought, not even bothering to check on Emma. Daniel had cared for her to the end, wanting nothing more but to comfort her in his final moments as his systems failed and deactivatedthe first time. At least he had that over Connor; at least he could care.

all of this means so much to me esp to be told that my writing is on point because like. connor just means so much to me because of so many reasons, i have developed this like, connection with him as a character and it’s so important to me that I get him right and honestly YOU!
