2015 Suavia Soave Classico

Gliding into weekend with my Japanese friends here, Anpanman and Baikinman, and this lovely Soave. Meyer lemon, pear, dried lemon rind, florals, apples, underripe pineapple, and melon rind on the nose. Meyer lemons, Bosc pears, apples, pineapples, and florals on the palate. Bounces between sweet and tart on the finish with a pretty long length.

2015 Pasqua “Romeo & Juliet” Passione e Sentimento Bianco Veneto IGT

Playin’ it a little edgy here with this Italian white! This one’s interesting because some of the grapes are dried before fermentation, concentrating the sugars to give a smooth, richer wine. Lemon, pear, pineapple, golden raisins, and nuts on the nose. Apricots, pineapples, and pears on the palate with honey notes at the start of the finish, turning into sweet lemon rinds at the end. ALMOST hints at being off-dry. This wine really needs food to pair it with - I’d suggest some Thai or Indian!

2015 Inama Vin Soave Classico

Enjoying some Italian white on this fine day. Lovely nose of white flowers, chamomile, golden apples, and white nut mix. Very mineral on the palate with whiffs of limestone, lemony pear, and some florals.
