Na sequência, um diferente e controverso “vinho laranja” chileno, elaborado pela vinícola @DeMartinoWines. . Os “Vinhos Laranjas” são vinhos de uvas brancas vinificados como tintos, ou seja, em contato com as peles (cascas) de forma a adquirirem mais cor, textura e algum tanino. . Este vinho vem da região do Vale de Itata, ao sul da região central do Chile, e utiliza uvas Muscat (Moscatel de Alexandria). A fermentação se dá em “tinajas” (antigas ânforas de argila) e o vinho fica em contato com as peles por 6 meses. Depois, já sem as peles, fica mais 6 meses nas ânforas amadurecendo, ocorrendo algum grau de oxidação durante o período. . Na taça tem coloração amarelo ouro, alaranjado, e nitidamente turvo. Mostra aroma de pêssego maduro, damasco, flores brancas (jasmin) e casca de laranja, com um leve toque oxidativo de fundo. Na boca é seco, tem muito corpo, acidez média-alta, e uma textura levemente rugosa (taninos?). Tem sabores cítrico e discreta salinidade, com média persistência. . . Vinho muito diferente. Já provei alguns outros vinhos laranjas e posso dizer que esse não é um estilo de vinho que me agrada... Mas vale para conhecer e para sair da mesmice... . Achei este vinho um pouco “pesado”, me lembrando uma cerveja de trigo... Mas apesar disso, é um vinho interessante, com certa dose de complexidade.
