I was today years old when I learned there is a national garlic day in the USA, celebrated on April 19th! This should really be an international holiday, for garlic is the gift that keeps on giving!

Garlic Day

Time to peel and then finely chop a whole bag of garlic. I normally do this while watching a show, but I may stick to my music in headphones for now.

I use garlic all the time. Any time I'm cooking, if there's a chance to add garlic, I do. But I also hate having to peel the cloves and chop the garlic. It always takes me longer than I think and I never pre-chop the garlic. And then I had the genius idea to just have garlic day. So I sat down and peeled a bag of garlic, then chopped it to my standard garlic size, threw it in a jar, smothered it in oil and now I have jarred garlic for a bit. And it only took like 4 hours.
