you either die a wu hater or live long enough to become a wu stan
wu, after garmadon is bitten: my father said i have to stop hanging out with you so much because you’re a bad influence :((
garmadon: we have the same dad
Any cute garmabro headcanons im in then mood for fluff <33
slayyy i gotchu
- they’ve always been there for each other. they have an incredible sibling bond
- fuck it. projection time. garm used to get incredibly overstimulated as a child/teenager (he still does, but he’s learned how to handle those situations better than how he was) and wu always took notice. he always had ear protection for him, sunglasses, and something for him to fidget with.
- wu got nightmares sometimes as a kid, and garm would always be there the second he heard wu sit up gasping. he’d bring him some tea, and they’d sit together. garm would ask wu if he wanted to talk about it. sometimes wu would say yes, and garm would listen. sometimes wu would say no, and garm respected that boundary. they’d sit together until wu felt better enough to go to sleep
- alr just because they take care of each other doesn’t mean they don’t have their fun. i mean, they are brothers after all. so, of course, we have to expect that sibling rivalry.
- small pranks would occur. such as garm sometimes making sure wu took the broken staff during their spar, and easily being able to defeat him. or that time wu accidentally let slip an incredibly embarrassing secret about garm in front of misako.
- or the little quips they’d throw at each other, not-so-harsh venom in every word
- garm would be freaking out over his bite. he was terrified of the person he’d become once the evil completely took over. and wu would say “bite, or no bite. you are still my brother” and garm would calm down a little bit
- they still continue their sibling rivalry into adulthood, as the ninja have caught them bickering back and forth about things that happened years ago
Expectative: Garmadon is the son who goes after problems, he who should have created the problem with Aspheera. Wu is the quiet son, he should have warned Garmadon not to go to the kingdom of snakes. Reality: Garmadon is the quiet son, he warned Wu not to go to the kingdom of snakes. Wu is the son who goes after problems, he who created the problem with Aspheera.

Garmabros <3
Send “📂“ for a random yet completely useless headcanon I have
1. Garmadon would let Wu win games when they were younger.
2. They actually kept in touch for a while when Garmadon left for Chen's...Monastery(?Did Chen have a monastery?) Before eventually Garmadon stopped responding.
3. Ironically, it was Wu who developed a fear of snakes after the great devourer bit Garmadon.
4. They used to set up mini camps in their rooms with blankets, pillows, chairs, etc. and tell stories. Sometimes spooky stories, sometimes stories out of a book, etc.
5. Wu left a lit lantern outside the monastery after Garmadon was banished, in the hopes he would return. (He did the same for Morro)
Merjago Day 8 - Hunting
Some young Wu and Garmadon bonding time! I need more Garmabro content!
Parallels
Sorry about any typos but I wrote this in a half hour because apparently, my self-proclaimed job is to provide fic when artists I like state their want of them. As evidenced when I wrote Crimson. So this fic if for @ookamihanta who wanted a Garmabros fic or a Kai and Nya fic, so I did both, naturally. Fic under cut, hope you like it!
It was a normal day on the bounty, the ninja were training as master Wu simply observed from the side. It was a day after they had rescued Lloyd and revealed Kai’s true potential as they all took a chance to have an easy day with some light training. The ninja all having progressed far enough that Wu didn’t need to constantly be looking over their shoulder to ensure they weren’t goofing off and were actually taking their training seriously.
“Come on Kai!” or so he thought, as Master Wu heard Nya call out to her brother, “just one sparring match and I’ll leave you alone.”
“No Nya,” Kai insisted as he focused on the training dummy, “I only just got my new powers, I have to learn to control them.”
“Oh come one, they can’t be that hard to master, besides, powers or no powers I can still kick your--”
“Nya!” Wu shouted in warning, the samurai having the grace to look sheepish.
“Sorry Sensei,” Nya spoke before turning back to her brother and giving him her biggest puppy dog eyes, “please Kai?”
“Agh, fine. But only one match,” Kai emphasized as he gave in.
“Deal,” Nya spoke as she and Kai took their positions. The match beginning as matches between them often did, a game of cat and mouse as the two egged each other on. Nya baiting her brother into brash decisions so she could strike when he was weary, while Kai attempted to wear his sister down with brute force.
Their matches ending with Nya managing to outlast her brother, or more often than not in a draw between them. Although this was not a normal match as Kai, still getting used to his new powers, got just a little too angry as is fire seeped through his hands. Coming dangerously close to his sister as Nya jumped back with a yelp, her reflexes saving her from the heat as she managed to doge the flames.
Wu intended to go down to ensure the girl was alright, but as he stared down at the seen a memory managed to surface. One that mimicked the current event a little close for his tastes.
When Wu and Garmadon had been younger the two would often find themselves fighting each other for practice as a living partner provided a much bigger challenge than a training dummy. Their fights occurring so often that, unless they learned a new move from their father, their fights would often become repetitive in that each sibling managed to recognize the others tells and weak spots. And while their matches were still enjoyable in their own right the siblings were often glad from a new lesson from their father, despite the harsh training it came with, as it meant something new they could use when they spared.
However, this repetitive nature did not last long as once Garmadon had been bitten by the Great Devourer he moves, once calculating and precise, become more cunning and deadly. Hitting weak points of Wu’s with the intent to harm rather than simply halt. Yet Wu never held his brother’s actions against him as he new it was the venom’s doing, he knew that has his brother turned truly evil he would strike to kill rather than harm.
It was with this thought in mind that Wu continued to request his brother spar with him, even when Garmadon himself thought he shouldn’t spar with his brother anymore for fear of harming him to wear a day of rest wouldn’t be enough. But Wu was insistent that the two continue to spar, and begrudgingly his brother had agreed.
However, the venom had caused more harm that day and maybe Wu had been the cause as he could have been a little too excitable when he managed to gain the upper hand during the match. An excitement that caused the anger in Garmadon to flair and before he knew it, Wu had been on the ground with his brother’s hands around his throat. He had been terrified, but Garmadon even more so as he came back to his senses in time.
But despite what Garmadon had done Wu simply smiled as his brother backed off, allowing Wu to sit up.
“Wow, and here I thought I was going to win that one,” Wu had said, rubbing his throat as he looked at his brother.
“W-what? How can you be so carefree?!?” Garmadon had all but shouted, “I could have killed you!”
“But you didn’t,” Wu insisted, “I know you would never hurt me and I’m fine, see?”
“But you-” Garmadon began.
“Hey, calm down okay?” Wu cut him off, “I’m fine, in fact, ready for round two?”
“You’re crazy,” Garmadon insisted, although the smirk on his face betrayed him.
“Hey, it runs in the family,” Wu had said, an easy smile on his face as the Garmadon helped him to his feet.
Which was what Kai was doing now as Wu pulled himself out of his memories, another smile on his face as he observed the siblings.
“You see it don’t you? They’re like us,” Garmadon spoke, evidently having joined Wu while he had been lost in his memories, no doubt being lost in his own.
“Yes,” Wu spoke as he sipped his tea, “I suppose they are.”
