Mostly Garmadon's thoughts throughout Misako's pregnancy, as well as his relationship with his brother and wife.
"Are—"
Garmadon stopped himself from knocking on the bathroom door.
This is what I want.
He silently tried to remind himself.
He and Misako had planned a family for a long time. But since she seemed unable to conceive, they had silently made peace with the fact that they would never be parents.
And here they were, waiting for the results of a pregnancy test.
This is what he always wanted.
Why was he so nervous?
Misako opened the bathroom door. They shared a look.
"We have to wait," she whispered and fell into his embrace.
"What if it's negative?"
Garmadon gulped. His real question was: what if it's positive?
"We'll see."
It was all he could think of as he quietly rubbed her back. He wanted to be a father. He wanted to have a child with the woman he loved more than anything.
But... Venom.
What if—
What if he wouldn't be a good father because of the evilness inside him?
"I'll go check." Misako stepped away from him and took the test into her hands.
Garmadon felt something in his stomach. He wasn't sure if it was excitement or fear.
You want this.
He tried to remind himself.
Misako frowned and looked at her husband. Garmadon's heart skipped a beat.
"It's negative."She bit her lip, and Garmadon felt a wave of coldness.
No, it can't be.
"I-I thought this time..." A few tears fell onto the floor below Misako. "I really hoped."
"I did too."Garmadon pulled her into his embrace.
Now I know how I really feel.
"We—maybe next time," Garmadon offered a weak comfort.
"Wait."He felt alive again."The second line just appeared."
"Wha—We're going to be parents!"Misako screamed, and Garmadon picked her up and spun her around.
"Yes, we are!" He planted a few kisses on her temple.

"It's been a long time since you visited."Wu looked down."Brother."
"I—"Garmadon wanted to enter, but Wu firmly stood at the Monastery's gates."I was busy."
"Busy being angry."For the first time, Wu's sky-blue eyes met his.
"I—No! I have news."
The younger brother raised a brow and walked toward the monastery.
"Wu, please look at me!"Garmadon almost ran after him.
"What?"Wu's eyes flashed toward him."Do you want to—"
"No." Garmadon approached him. "No, Wu. I came here to tell you that I'm becoming a father."
"W-What?! Misako is pregnant?!"
"Well, she is the only wife I have, so it's kind of obvious."Garmadon laughed — a sound Wu hadn't heard in years.
"I-Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two!"
"Thank you!"Garmadon rushed to hug his brother.
Wu's eyes widened from the shock. It had been a long, *very* long time since they hugged.
"I—"
"You're always welcome to visit. We'd like you to visit."
"I-That's... tomorrow? If Misako is comfortable with it, of course."
"It sounds perfect."
Wu smiled and enjoyed the familiar wooden scent of his brother — the one that made him feel safe long ago in their childhood.
Maybe this child would bring them all back together.
~~~Three months into pregnancy~~~
"What do you think?"Garmadon smiled as he ran his fingers through Misako's belly.
"I don't know," Misako smiled. "What do you want?"
"Anything is good."
"Oh, come on."
Misako turned her head to look at him."I know you want something more."
"I'll say it if you do."
"Well then. On three."
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
"Girl," Garmadon offered.
"Boy," Misako said at the same time.
The couple laughed.
"At least someone is going to be right."Misako kissed Garmadon on the chin.
"Yeah."Garmadon kissed her back.
Their baby was going to be incredible, no matter the gender. He knew that.
"Who do you think it'll look like?" Misako asked.
Garmadon's throat tightened.
What if—
