Ok so here’s a hot take: Bakugou does not have that little voice in your head to tell him when he is officially doing ‘too much’. Like, he just, doesn't know how to stop when he’s still ahead.

With that said, here is a headcanon I have for when Bakugou was first realizing he had a crush on Kirishima and tried to impress him.

Bakugou is a reluctant morning person. His body wakes up early naturally, no matter how he feels about it, and just can not get back to sleep. So normally, he’d get his ass up and go for a morning jog, then make himself some breakfast. Not today though, today Bakugou had a plan.

Kirishima was very much not a morning person, and given it’s a weekend, Bakugou figures Kirishima wont be out of bed until around ten at best. So, he decided to make him breakfast. He’s been told he is a good cook, so what better what to try and court his best friend than to impress him with his cooking, right??

Bakugou planned this ahead of time, of course, and bought all the indigents he would need. So he gets everything set up and runs into a dilemma when he starts the eggs; he had no idea how Kirishima likes his eggs. Scrambled? Over-easy? Sunny-side up??

He knows people can be really picky on how they take their eggs, so he figures “ok, no problem. I’ll just make eggs in every style so he could take his pick.”

Next thing you know Bakugou has 11 different styles of cooked eggs prepared. 

by this point, Bakugou isnt even sure if Kirishima likes eggs that much, but he came prepared and bought bacon. He knows Kiri loves meat, so it’d be a guaranteed success, right?

Well... he doesn't know how Kirishima likes his bacon. Chewy like some heathen?? Crunchy???

Not to mention how he likes his toast, and with what topping, if any????

Bakugou is beginning to think he might have made a mistake when two hours later, the kitchen has transformed into a glorified buffet. 

Eventually his classmates, and Kirishima, make their way downstairs to the hot mess that is Bakugou at the time, and think he just decided to cook everyone breakfast.

Which,, is not true, but at this point it is less embarrassing than the truth, so he just rolls with it.  

Turns out Kirishima is a garbage disposal and will eat anything, much to Bakugou’s ire.

Still, Kirishima seemed pretty impressed, though not as much with his cooking as by his supposed generosity... But Bakugou’ll take it.

I just finished reason chapter 11 of Partners and it's was marvelous. Your writing is so gooooood! I laughed when Deku showed up at the end because ever since Bakugou said they were going back to Uei I KNEW the chapter would end with him saying something to Bakugou. And when that happened I just started laughing so much 😂 Anyways, thanks for sharing this amazing story with us 💟
