papyrus - your first kiss with papyrus will happen a bit late, probably about a month into dating. its very important to papyrus that he gets it right, especially when he has no lips himself. during a date, he’ll get a bit nervous, wringing his hands in front of him. you notice right away, not because of his obvious tic, but because he was so confident before. when you ask him what’s wrong, he confesses that he wants to kiss you but doesn’t know how despite the massive amount of research he did. (his search history is a mess) tell him there’s not way he could mess it up, what’s most important, is that it’s with him. you first kiss with papyrus is chaste, a quick peck. after the first time, he’s obsessed. expect it to be his go-to greeting.

blue - your first kiss with blue could come at anytime. it’ll be a moment when blue looks at you and is absolutely captivated by how wonderful you look. maybe you’re laughing at a silly joke or maybe the light from the street lights highlight your features so perfectly, you nearly blind him. “CAN I KISS YOU?” he asks, before cupping your cheek and drawing you in for a sweet kiss. your eyelashes tickle him and he can’t help but let out a laugh. thank the stars, you almost ran out of breath. wouldn’t want to pass out on him.

lord - your first kiss with lord is a long time coming. it’s almost ridiculous how long its taking him, and you aren’t sure what the problem is. at first you wonder if he’s just nervous, but after four months, and a multitude of signals that you know he saw, it’s a bit frustrating. you’re going to have to kiss him. lord has been overthinking the whole ordeal the entire time. he keeps trying to stage elaborate situations for peak romance and if one thing goes wrong, he’ll chicken out. you lean in, stare into his eyes, and he blinks at you, quiet for the first time that night. when you kiss him, he blushes so hard you can feel the heat from his magic. much to his embarrassment, he lets out a little ‘eep’.

oleander - your first kiss with oleander is passionate. it’ll happen before you start dating. he wants to date you, but knows he isn’t good for you, and no matter how many signals you send, he will pretend like he doesn’t notice. if oleander can help it, he will hold you at arms reach. fortunately, he is a slave to his impulses. he can’t help but get closer to you. he’s absolutely drunk on your presence. every second of every day is full of thoughts of you, and one night when he’s over at your house, all that longing comes crashing down on him at once. he pulls you close, almost ravenous, and kisses you with all the love he tried to keep down. it’s rough, a bit messy, but he’s gentle in the way he holds you close.

hemlock - your first kiss with hemlock leaves you lightheaded. hemlock is not one who can keep his love of you to himself. the second he fell for you, he knew it was over for him. he is devoted, and will follow the relationship at your pace, not his. you’re in the lead, and your first kiss with him is up to you. he will wait as long as you need. when it finally happens, your eyes darting to his lips, he smiles softly and leans in just enough for you to close the distance. he is passionate like oleander, but in a different way. his motions are slow, savoring every bit of you. hemlock doesn’t kiss you, he worships you.

gaster - your first kiss with gaster is awkward. very very awkward, but endearingly so. gaster will try to go in for a kiss at the end of a date. it’s dark, he walked you to your door to make sure you get in safe. he can barely hear what you’re saying because his mind is running at a thousand miles a minute. he leans in for a second, backs out, blinks, leans in again, then backs out yet again. you figure what he’s doing and when he leans in for the third time, you press your lips against him. he jolts back all surprised, as if he hasn’t been trying to kiss you for the past five minutes, a dark blush covering him from head to toe.

I = Injury for Gaster?

- you accidentally cut yourself while picking up shards of glass from a plate you broke. it’s surprisingly deep, and bleeding much more than you anticipated.

- for all his knowledge, he hates that human anatomy is not among his repertoire. the second he sees you injured, not matter how grievous, he freaks out. gaster can hardly think through the maelstrom of possibilities and solutions and outcomes that are running theough his head. it doesn’t even occur to him to call emergency services, but as soon as he remembers, there isn’t a thing you can do to stop him.

- because of his lack of expertise when it comes to humans, what’s bad and what’s not aside from the obvious is lost on him. so he assumes it’s all terrible. what he does know is if an artery is severed, if you aren’t getting enough oxygen, if you hit your head too hard, so many simple injuries can culminate in your death. the inner workings of your body are delicate, if one thing is off, the whole thing shuts down. just how fragile you are disturbs him.

- he has healing magic, a fact he nearly forgot, blood makes him a bit lightheaded. and while waiting for the paramedics, he’ll patch you up the best he can. gaster can come off a little distant, it’s because he slips into an objective minset, similar to the one he gets while working. he’s just lost in thought. even if you’re fine after he healed you, wound stitched shut by green magic, he will practically drag you onto the back of the ambulance himself. you are going with the professionals to make sure you’re okay. for all he knows, a microscopic piece of glass got in your blood stream and it’ll kill you, or something equally ridiculous.

- after the ordeal, gaster tells you he’s decided he’s going to take some medical courses. and a cpr class. maybe even get a degree, he isn’t sure yet, but he’ll cross that bridge when he gets there. he can get a little carried away. its endearing.

- gaster is generally a very neat person but his lab can only be described as organized chaos. he loves when you visit him at work and will “forget” his lunch at home just so you’ll show up and bring it to him. this is a mix of him missing you, him wanting to show you off to his coworkers, and wanting to show you what hes been working on.

- much to your dismay, he doesnt exactly adhere to lab safety procedures. its an ego thing, he thinks hes too good to have something blow up in his face. you’d think he’d learn his lesson, but obviously not. its a running gag in the office how many times gaster has to use the chemical shower. one time you caught him drinking coffee out of a beaker and freaked out so hard you managed to get him to promise never to do it again.

- you are probably the only person on the planet who can get gaster to not do something he wants to do. hes stubborn, if he has his mind set on something it will take near god-like power to stop him. but with you, puppy eyes will suffice. he will be kind of huffy about it though.

- (the only other person who can hold a candle to your power is papyrus. i am a fan of dadster.)

- gaster is generally uninterested in social media. he has a facebook he hardly uses outside of keeping up with his friends and family, but will excitedly update his relationship status on facebook when you make it official. he’ll make a huge event about it, light a candle, pour some wine, put on some mood music and then cuddle by the fire as you both update your facebook statuses from single to in a relationship.

- he travels a lot for work and kind of drags you along with him. if you like to travel this is definitely a win for you. unfortunately because its for work, he won’t have a lot of time to spend with you, but he will always make sure youre not bored. he really appreciates you coming with him, so he tries to show that in little ways. like ordering you delivery or twxting you places he thinks you might like to go. he also treats you on fancy dates whenever he has time off. the whole shebang.

- he gets cold easily, especially his hands. theyre like ice cubes. to mess with you, he will stick his cold hands on the back of your neck and laugh when you shriek. he’ll insist to you he just wants to warm them up, but you can see his gloves hanging out of his pocket.

- knows how to ballroom dance and would love to teach you. he’s incredibly tall, like absolutely towers over you kind of tall, so it will be a bit of a learning curve. he’ll put on music and dance with you in your living room, unable to look away from you.

yes totally!! i love gaster hes just a guy and hes so fun to think about! for now, i’m just gonna do some fluffy headcanons, but i may follow it up with a drabble later ;D (please dont hold me to that) hope you still enjoy though!! this was so fun to do thank you for asking!! <3

* for starters, there is a multitude of places you could meet. hes pretty personable as long as he isnt absorbed in his work. its easy to get him on tangents. hes passionate thats for sure, and he speaks in a way that will suck you into whatever he’s talking about even if you couldnt have cared less before. he loves sharing knowledge and if you ask a question, he’ll literally show up at your house in the middle of the night with a whole powerpoint presentation prepared to answer it. he will NEVER make you feel stupid for knowing less than him. at least not on purpose. hes smart and he knows it, his confidence tends to lean towards arrogance more often than not.

* gaster was nonverbal when he was a kid. as he got older, somewhere around his mid twenties, talking became much easier and much more comfortable for him. however, he does prefer to sign. its because he gets sensory overload pretty easily and it was his main method of communication for so long, he feels he can express himself much easier with sign language.

* this man is very very touch starved, like to a maximum degree. his time in the void was horrible, and he’d like to make up for lost time. he wants to be close to you however he can. he’s somewhat shy with pda, though he will link your pinkies together while walking down the street or lean into you when youre stationary somewhere.

* in private, he will be all over you. leaning down to give you kisses on the top of your head or pulling you close to him while you watch something. he loves to press his forehead against yours, its so innocently intimate and loving. my guy is whipped.

* gaster is pretty old fashioned when it comes to courting. hes somewhat dense with feelings, but as soon as he realizes hes into you in a way thats more than a friend he will ask you out. hes tired of losing time, and if it’s a possibility, he’d like to build something with you sooner rather than later. expect boxes of chocolates and meticulously picked bouquets (hes fond of the language of flowers). candle lit dinners at fancy restaurants too. (he can’t cook.) he will spend weeks planning the perfect date and tries to surprise you with it. although, he gets so finicky the closer it gets you can always tell when hes planning something.

* unfortunately (or fortunately, who knows) he is a very goopy guy. any extreme emotion can cause his body to nelt into a thick, sticky fluid. even if hes just comfortable or happy he will start dripping on you. he cant help it and is kind of insecure about it. reassurances and love would be very appreciated.

* if hes really excited about something (ranging from a scientific breakthrough or the stray cats he feeds being cute) he will rush in, pick you up, and then carry you to see whatever is happening. he will stand there like that will smith meme while he waits for your response.

* speaking of the will smith meme, everytime he introduces you to someone he knows its LITERALLY that meme. if hes not talking about his work, hes talking about a documentary he watched, and if hes not talking about that, hes talking about you. even before meeting you, everyone who is even somewhat acquainted with him knows who you are. i wouldnt say he gushes constantly, just when it happens to come up:

* “Doesn’t this sandwich look delightful, my partner made it.”

* “Oh, I know what that is. My partner was just telling me how much they enjoyed that program.”

* “My partner recently got a new haircut, it’s wonderful. I didn’t think I could love them any more.”

* he enjoys going to antique stores and thrift stores to add to his collection of odd knick-knacks and old movies. he’d love if you joined him! he finds silly things sometimes, ones hed never buy, but he always wishes you were there to see them. he would send you pictures, but hes kind of struggling with his cellphone. get you a man who has like twenty phds but still doesnt understand how to turn the flash off on his phone.

* speaking of his phone camera, he can be a menace with it. not on purpose (at least at first), but he loves taking pictures and he can never get them right. its driving him batty. the amount of times hes nearly seared your eyes out trying to get a candid picture of you numbers in the hundreds by this point. now, whenever he sees something he wants to take a picture of he comes to find you. youve shown him how to turn the flash off, but he always insists he forgets. he doesnt. he just likes to tease you.

* i associate the song anniversary by autoheart with gaster whenever i enter x reader daydream mode, just adding it on for any one else who makes amvs in their brain

Gaster's reaction to his S/O planning out a nice romantic dinner for the two of them?

- if this was an anniversary dinner, you’d find yourself in a situation where you’re both trying to secretly set up a romantic meal without then other knowing. any other time, he’s pretty easy to sneak around. you could make dinner reservations right in front of him if he was working and he wouldnt hear a single word you said.

- if you did reservations he would be so flattered. you’ll have to warn him before you leave if its a fancy restaurant, even if it ruins a the surprise a bit, because he will show up with you in a burnt lab coat and his comfy pants if work was especially rough. if you think he’d be able to pick up the hint if you dress up nice, you’d be wrong. hints are lost on him. he’ll just love how nice you look. you have to be up front.

- you’ll have to reign him in a bit, he will try to treat you on a night youre trying to treat him. if you’re not careful, he’ll even try and grab the bill when you arent looking. its a game the two of you play whenever you go out to eat, although when tonights supposed to be about him, it can be frustrating. gaster’s just teasing you, tell him to stop and he will. he wants to make you smile, if youre not having fun he’ll put a cork in it.

- if you cook him a home cooked meal with flowers and candles, he will blush from his shoulders to the top of his head. in addition, if he sees his favorite food, he might propose on the spot. your cooking is his favorite thing in the world simply because its made by you. he can literally taste the love you put in it. please spoil him like this more often, you’ll have a whipped man even more whipped if that was possible.

- he thinks its romantic to share food. you eat off his plate and he eats off yours. while hes leaning over the table, his tie gets caught in the candle and catches on fire. romantic dinner permanently etched into your memory by a ridiculous mishap. and also the fire department. theres no lasting damage, thank god, besides his favorite tie. the two of you finish up the food in front if the tv trying not to choke while you laugh.
