I’m trying a very new (to me) method to make masks. I start off by carving into two Styrofoam balls after making the necessary measurements, allotting for a little breathing room. This was a daunting process I soon realized--it took me six hours using my carving tools. Styrofoam balls are extremely dense in the center, and because they’re round it was hard for me to keep it still enough to cut into. I went from the above picture to: 

Lol.. you can see my shoddy blueprints that aren’t blue. Er... the brass studs are there to mark the center of my face and the top of my head. 

It’s getting better!! I’ll try to update when I can.
