At first, I thought it was a Long Spiny kite orb weaver (Gasteracantha falcicornis), now I'm 90% sure it was a ( Gasteracantha curvispina ). G.curvispina has no wikipedia entry, which is how I found G.Falciornis. However, iNaturalist has tonnes of G.curvispina photos, as well as a template for making a Wikipedia article.
I am neither an Arachnologist, a resident of the African continent, nor a super-super nerd on either subjects of them ( though I do like to research both).
It isn't, like, rude to create a new species page on Wikipedia when I'm just some guy, right? As long as I link sources. That's why iNat has that template, right?
Also, G. curvispina has no common name in english despite being in several casual english web articles. How do I gaslight the public into calling it the Deviled Egg orbweaver Spider?
