Barcelona - Gaudí? No :) Disneyland? No :) Alice in the wonderland? No :) We’re still in Havana!! After 3 years of living here, the weather conditions were finally just right (cloudy day, perfect temperature and no wind) so we rode our @retrobikes_bykenzel to visit artist Jose Fuster and his Fusterlandia neighborhood in a local fisherman’s village Jaimanitas (on the outskirts of Havana). It’s an incredible work of art - he transformed the whole neighborhood and created mosaics not only on his house but also on his neighbors houses. He even decorated the bus stops around the area. This place reminds me a lot of Gaudi’s Guell Park in Barcelona and also Parque de enamorados (Lovers Park) overlooking the ocean in Miraflores in Lima, Peru. To my surprise, I even found a perfect house to buy in Havana - that has already my name on it @dianamrazi - I know that it’s a tribute to Princess Diana, but hey, she’s doesn’t live in Havana, and I do! It certainly does look like a fairytale house where princess 👸🏻 should live. If you look around the area, there are so many beautiful details and messages to read on the walls that spread ❤️ & harmony, so if you come to visit, make sure you have enough time to explore it well. A few photos and words about Gaudi's masterpiece "Basílica de la Sagrada FamÍlia ". I'm not ashamed to say I didn't know Gaudi's work well, I've never read about it in details and even more, it had never been my dream to visit Barcelona... I'll be honest and say that for the first glance Sagrada FamÍlia wasn't so impressive and it didn't have much effect on me, but slowly I got really into it... For now as more I read about it more details I find impressive. How Gaudi was trying to put the beauty of nature into architecture and how well he managed. When you are inside of Sagrada FamÍlia and look up you see the high columns which for the first glance look chaotic, but if you know that they represent trees and the view above your head represents the view of the sky in forest then you can realize how harmoniously and nicely it is done... another impressive view inside was the colours created by the stained glass windows which from one side is more reddish and warm and from another colder and greenish. I found carvings the most spectacular in whole assemblage and fell in love with it.
