[ Gaviel the Song of Silence - theDURRRRIAN ]
Posted not because it’s an Annadia aesthetic (maybe if she went Subtlety), but because so many other rogues repost crops of this character art - especially the Five Tailed Fox center design - without tracing it back to the original artist (Gaviel is his OC).
Hello There
“Hey Tarq?” Gaviel waits for an answer from his brother, when one doesn’t come he tries again.
“Tarquarn.” He says a little more stern and with purpose of getting his attention.
“What Gav?” Tarq was pretty sure he was older than Gaviel, shouldn’t he be the stern one? No that wasn’t right, Gaviel was the oldest of the three of them, though he didn’t act like it half the time.
Meet the angels of summer
Amatiel- Amatiel is the ruling angel of summer. She tells the others where to go during the summer months. She work hard to get where she is and has no intentions of leaving it any time soon. She's not the oldest of the summer angels but she earned their respect and trust as she claimed her place as ruling angel of summer.
Gaviel- Gaviel is the oldest of the summer angels. Technically he could rule over the angels of summer but instead he chose to let his little Matti rule over them. She has more patience than he does when it comes to that sort of thing. He decided that he wouldn't mind taking orders from her and does his job happily.
Gargatel- Gargatel is not that much older than Amatiel and also could've ruled over his brother and sisters but also decided not to. He'd much rather be working among father's creations than sit around Heaven all day doing nothing.
Tariel- Tariel is the baby of the summer angels. She has more opportunities to go to earth than most. She likes to watch little kids run around and play in the nice summer weather that she, her brothers, and sister worked hard to make. There are rare moments when her emotions step out of line and mess the nice day up but she quickly reigns them in and gets them back under control. Father granted Tariel with the gift of foresight but only with small things Like say a certain Venus angel put hair dye in a shampoo bottle meant for someone else and she gently tells that person to not use that specific bathroom for a while.
Date Night Part 2
Gaviel smiles and chuckles as he leaves. Amy and Tarq never did show up later, he didn’t care though Amy was a nosy little shit anyway. Gaviel was actually pretty grateful that they had taken off and done their own thing for the day. Gaviel had never felt nervous or anxious before, or at least not for a long, long time. He figured it was because, in Amabiel’s words, he wasn’t very social when it came to talking to others. Matti gave him a sense of confidence and put his mind to ease that everything was going to be fine. It did make him feel a little bit better about his people skills, rusty as they were. However it didn’t stop him from feeling nervous about meeting someone he had just met. He thought about just skipping out on the meetup, but Amatiel’s words echoed in his head about how that would be rude. Gaviel sighs and sucks it up, he figured there would be the chance of Caleb not showing up anyway. He was more or less hoping that was the case. Gav realised he was thinking selfishly and forced himself to stop thinking like that. He was raised better than to think like that.
Date Night Part 1
Gaviel wasn’t exactly sure what a date was. His little sister Amatiel had been married to Brennen for a while, surely she knows what a date is. He hadn’t caught Amabiel or Tarquarn yet, but at this point he stopped caring and went upstairs. He knew they would come back when they felt like it besides, Amy still had a job to do until the spring angels took their turn.
Till Death Do We Part
They died side by side, fighting for what they thought was right. Amabiel had recruited herself and two of her brothers for this fight, they found their swords after millenias of not using them. They had all made the mistake of not wearing protective armor during the fight against those who wanted to see the nest taken down and anyone connected to them. Amabiel was the first to die, she had gotten careless, too confident in her fighting skills. She and her brothers were too busy fighting to notice the angel coming up behind her. It wasn’t until she felt the sharp, white hot pain seiring in her back that she knew someone was behind her. She screamed at the pain as she fell to the ground, the outline of her wings burned into the ground where she died.
“Amy!” Gaviel and Tarquarn had shouted at the same time before going after the angel that killed their sister. Gaviel had done his best to stand his ground as he fought, but it had been a long time since he’s had to fight last and was overpowered by one of his siblings. A blade was driven through his heart, he took in his last intake of air before falling to the ground, wings burning on the ground where he died.
Heaven’s three musketeers were slowly becoming no more as Tarquarn was the only one of them left. Gaviel and Amabiel were part of his flock, he grew up with them and they were the only ones he trusted. Tarquarn saw only red now and vowed to even the score. Unfortunately he was unsuccessful, just like his brother and sister he met his end, wings burning into the ground just like the others.
That day the battle between Heaven and the nest was won by the nest members but at a terrible cost. They lost the three musketeers, new as they were in the nest they were still going to be missed by Tariel and the other seasons. The three musketeers rode one last time and fought with great effort. Amabiel would have been celebrating making Gaviel and Tarquarn smile at her excitement, they will indeed be missed but their bravery will never be forgotten.
Untraditional Meeting
Amabiel and Tarquarn disappeared to father knows where again, Gaviel hated it when his siblings did that and hid themselves on purpose. Tariel was little to no help as to where they could have gone with her cryptic words, he swears she spends too much time with the nest. Or maybe this was her fully developed personality he didn’t know, she doesn’t tell him anything anymore. He sighs frustrated as he walks down the street, he was told that he was unable to lock onto their location and would have to walk around the city to find them.
Walk around among father’s creations, Gaviel wasn’t too fond of the idea considering he stuck out like a sore thumb and looked like he wasn’t in the world’s greatest mood. Perhaps that was why they seemed to keep to themselves and didn’t bother to try and talk to him. Tariel had said that they wouldn’t try anyway since they had an unusual code of don’t talk to strangers. He was okay with that, he just wanted to find his brother and sister and go home. Gaviel had been walking for nearly an hour before he heard Amy’s voice in his head.
“Where you going Gav? You walked right by us.” She was laughing at him, or at least he thought she was.
“Where are you two at?”
“Turn around big brother.” She was standing with Tarq next to her a good distance behind him. They were smiling at him as they took off, running to the backside of a building.
“Hey get back here!” Gav took off to follow them, he could hear Amy’s laughter as the two of them got farther and farther away. He hated his siblings sometimes, especially when they pulled shit like this every now and then. They knew this but dared to challenge their brother’s tolerance level anyway.
Gaviel wasn’t expecting anyone to be around the corner, except for maybe Amy and Tarq of course. So when he ran into another man, the stop and collision was very ungraceful on Gaviel’s part. He rounded the corner a little too quickly to try and catch Amy and Tarq that when he turned he collided with another young man. Said man caught him by the wrist before Gav completely fell on his ass.
“You okay?” The young man asked, still holding onto Gaviel. He was quite handsome looking, Gaviel gave him that. He had hazel eyes, short red hair and was only a few inches shorter than Gaviel. Apparently he wasn’t saying anything for he asked a second time as he pulled Gav to his feet. “Hey, are you okay?”
“What? Oh, yes I’m fine thank you.”
“I’m Caleb, what’s your name?” He held his hand out to shake Gaviel’s.
Gaviel takes his hand a little hesitantly before responding. “Gaviel, sorry can’t stay long for introductions. I’m chasing after my brother and sister, they have an annoying habit of running off.” Gaviel lets go of Caleb’s hand and tries turn around and continue on but a hand on his shoulder stops him in his place.
“Do you want to maybe meet up again? If you’re not busy that is.” There was caution in his tone, Gaviel had been in one too many battles to know what that sounded like.
Gaviel gives him a glance over his shoulder before his baby sister’s voice echoes in his head saying how talking to someone over your shoulder is rude and you should face them completely. Giving his youngest sister’s words a chance he faces him instead to answer him. “It would be difficult but I can try to meet you later on if you would like.”
“Great.” He smiles at him. “How does later this evening sound? Say meet here again and see where it goes from there?”
Gaviel seems to mull it over before giving him a shrug and an answer. “Sure I suppose.”
“It’s a date then.” Caleb smiles up at him before continuing on his way.
Gaviel gives him a slight head tilt before shrugging once more, he could ask Matti what a date was the next time he saw her. Suddenly remembering that his brother and sister were still playing their game of cat and mouse, he took off in their last known direction to find them.
