bitch i’m back

first of all this cast is adorable and i would die for every single one of them. i am a bit torn because i’m happy with the star baker but loriea shouldn’t have gone home. i love sura, rowan, peter and hermine!! 

matt and noel have great onscreen chemistry and i think i actually prefer this dynamic to him and sandi. not that i didn’t love sandi but idk. i like it!!!! 

have we ever had so many dramatic shots of cakes on the floor in one episode? 

i feel like it was pretty mean to start out with battenberg cake bc it’s pretty elaborate for a first episode challenge. the cake busts were the stuff of nightmares (the tom delonge one is gonna haunt my dreams this week) and i enjoyed a non-stupid technical and hope that trend continues

i can’t believe loriea used one chilli and paul got so mad he kicked her off 

overall vibe of this series is good so far, it feels a little chaotic and thrown together but what hasn’t in this absolute shit of a year? on a side note, i feel like the new arrangement where they have to stay on site for all 7 weeks will lead to a lot more meltdowns this series but i hope i’m wrong!!

The shot of the tent on the rolling grassy noll was so pretty.

The recap was so touching! Dave has really grown on me, I love Peter, and Laura is such a mood.
