Newer trek shows need more daily life & hobbies. I don’t even know who cooks or bakes other than pike. That’s some sloppy character development.
Just imagine if GBBO and the Cornley theater collaborated with the British Bake Off goes wrong
paul hollywood: best bake i've ever tasted prue leith: the flavours are perfect paul: i could never bake something like this prue: we should quit our jobs [the baker expectantly reaches out their hand, paul unblinkingly stares at the baker's hand and then the baker, seconds turn into days*
Got to go home early today because of bad winter weather and finish out my work day in the comfort of pajamas and my couch.
I'm watching the last season of the Great British Baking Show and it's Meringue week. I have no idea how to make a meringue... but I really want to now XD
absolutely losing it
keeping up with gbbo discourse (yes that's a thing) this season is wild bc it ranges from "why the fuck is carole peeling an avocado like a potato" (hilarious) to "i can't believe british people literally don't know what pico de gallo is" (funny but also sad) to "cultural bakes should be better researched and not judged by two old white brits who mispronounce tortilla" (valid) to "a contestant's unfamiliarity with a dessert should not automatically disqualify them from doing well in a technical, and a recipe that includes no clues as to how to even approach the bake isn't a good thing" (absolutely valid) to "prue and paul did not provide a recipe for the technical which is Morally Reprehensible and so they are Evil" (batshit insane)
